EPISODE 54

"Where's this smoke coming from?" Shahana asked squinting her eyes.

"It looks like your locality." Aryan commented nonchalantly.

"We must go and check. Maa is at home alone." Prachi said getting up from the car's bonnet.

"We may be able to help the people too." Ranbir said.

They four of them finished the remaining of the ice cream and went towards the colony.

"Wait a minute, isn't it our house?" Shahana voiced everyone's thoughts.

"Maa..... Maa is in.....inside!" Prachi yelled and rushed towards the house. She would have entered inside if a few neighbors hadn't stopped her forcefully.

"It is too dangerous to go inside." they pointed.

"My maa.....She is inside...... Someone has to save her." she wailed.

"I'll go inside and bring aunty out." Ranbir was unable to bear his Prachi in pain.

Luckily, there was no need for doing so as the fire brigade arrived. They explained to the fire fighters that Pragya was stuck inside and they got to work immediately. In a few minutes they brought an unconscious Pragya out. She had suffered a lot of injuries and looked to be in a critical state.

Aryan was quick-witted enough to call the ambulance in time so that it reached just in time. Prachi accompanied Pragya in it while the other three followed in Ranbir's car.

"NO!" Rhea screamed and woke up with a start. She was sweating profusely.

She looked around to find herself safe in her room. Grabbing a glass of water, she gulped it's content in a go.

"Since I'm awake, let me call the goons and ask if the work is done or not." she thought.

"Is the work done?" she enquired.

"Yes ma'am. All the three people are trapped in fire." the goons informed.

"Three?" Rhea was confused. Alia had told her that she had instructed them to hurt Prachi only. "Who are the three people?"

"We will send you the picture ma'am."

Rhea received the picture and shocked to see Pragya with Prachi and Shahana.

"Aun....aunty.....She is Prachi's mom!" she was shocked by the information but another fact registered in her mind. "This means she.....she is danger. I can't let anything happen to her."

However much Rhea may hate Prachi, she loved Pragya. She rushed to meet her.

Pragya was now in the OT. Prachi and Shahana were crying miserably outside while Ranbir and Aryan were whispering comforting words to them.

"Maa, maa......Why is she not opening her eyes?" she sniffed.

"She will get well soon. Don't loose hope." Ranbir tried to motivate her.

"Noth...nothing should happen to her. I can't loose my loved ones once again." Shahana who didn't even remembered her parents couldn't think of losing the closest thing to a parent she had.

"Have faith. Our prayers will not go in vain. Think positive." Aryan assured.

Rhea rushed in, almost stumbling at that moment.

"Where's aunty? How is she?" she was so worried for Pragya that she failed to notice that Ranbir had Prachi in his embrace.

"She is in the OT." Aryan informed.

Rhea ran to the door of the OT and peeped in. She saw Pragya lying lifelessly, battling for her life. A sense of guilt flooded in her. She was the one responsible for it.

"Who's with the patient?" a nurse asked.

The five of them got up and went to her.

"Is she fine, nurse?" they enquired.

"We need to arrange for O+ blood immediately." she informed.

"But none of us have O+ blood group." Prachi said worriedly.

"I have. I can donate blood to aunty." Rhea said.

Everyone stared at her in surprise. It was highly unusual for Rhea to act kindly to anyone except her family and friends. Rhea decided to ignore their looks and went with the nurse.

Alia woke up the next day in a happy mood. Once again she had been victorious, Pragya wouldn't return in Abhi's life ever. The best part was that even if it was proved a murder, the blame would be on Aarav and Rhea.

She went down to breakfast with a smile plastered on her face.

"Where are the kids? I have seen none of them since the morning." Pallavi asked.

In answer to her question, a message popped up in Vikram's phone. As soon as he read the message, his expression changed to a grave one.

When asked about the reason, he informed that the message was from Ranbir stating that Prachi's mother had a serious accident and was admitted in a hospital and he was there along with Prachi, Shahana, Aryan and Rhea.

"How did Pragya escape this time and what is Rhea doing in the hospital? Has she gone to visit Pragya or keep Prachi away from Ranbir?" Alia thought. She concluded that she was overthinking and Rhea must have gone to the hospital due to the later reason. Currently, she began wondering of ways to prevent Abhi and Purab from going to the hospital.

"We should go there too. The kids won't be able to handle everything all by themselves." Purab said the exact thing Alia was fearing they would do.

"It isn't necessary for all of us to go there. We have an important meeting today too." Alia made an attempt to stop them.

"We can't turn our back to them." Abhi pointed.

"Vikram can go to the hospital while we go to office." she reasoned.

Everyone agreed to this proposal and left for their respective destination.
