EPISODE 44

"I'll return soon. Till then don't go out." Pragya instructed to Prachi and Shahana who were eating kheer.

"I have found it! I have found it!" Ranbir sang merrily as he owned the door with a bang.

"Are you planning to break the door?" Prachi mocked him.

A look of Prachi was all that Ranbir needed to forget what he was going to tell. He ran to her and hugged her immediately. Prachi was stunned for a moment but responded back soon.

"I'm sorry.......I couldn't fulfil my promise." he said sadly.

"It's ok. I know you have tried your level best." Prachi smiled assuringly.

Everyone present there admired their bond.

"Glad that Prachi is out now. She didn't deserve to be there." Aryan said to Shahana.

"I agree Prachi did not deserve to be there but what about me?" Shahana asked.

"Well, it would have done me good if you stayed there for a few more days. There was no one to eat up my brain." he laughed.

Shahana snacked him lightly on the arm.

" I'm not talking with you." she pouted.

"I was joking, but I must say, your angry face looks cute." he said pulling her cheek.

"Ahem......Ahem...... You were saying that you had found something." Sarita ji fake coughed, making Ranbir and Prachi break the hug and look at her. Aryan and Shahana too turned their attention towards her.

"Oh yes......Check out this video. My friend was shooting for his YouTube video on the day of the incident and fortunately, he was shooting in this locality. If we look minutely, we can see Prachi and Shahana in this video." Ranbir pointed.

"How's that of any use to us?" Sarita ji couldn't grasp what Ranbir wanted to convey.

" If we look at the timing when the video was shot, it's the same as the timing of the accident as told by Rhea. A person cannot be at two places simultaneously. So, if they were here, the culprit must have been someone else who had wanted to frame Prachi." Ranbir explained.

"Thank you Ranbir. I can't express how grateful I am to you. This will surely solve the case." Pragya said with happy tears in her eyes.

"Don't thank me aunty. It was my responsibility to stand by my....err.....friend." Ranbir said.

Pragya set off to the police station. Ranbir and Aryan offered to accompany her but she denied saying that they must be tired and hungry. So, now the four of them where enjoying the kheer.

Just when everything seemed to be going on well in life, the door bell rang. Sarita ji went to open the door.

All of them were surprised when they saw Rishi entering along with her.

"What's he doing here?" Shachi and Arbir asked at the same time though for entirely different reasons.

" He will be staying here from now." she informed.

" Why?" the four of them asked together again and stared at each other incredulously.

"Because she is my grandma." Rishi informed clearing all the conclusions.

"That's great! We are going to have lots of fun." Shachi said happily.

Rishi noticed Ranbir and Aryan sitting there. "Nice to meet you again." he smiled.

"Nice to meet you too.......though it would have been nicer if haven't met." Ranbir said the last part in a mere whisper.

"Did you say anything?" Rishi asked.

"Nothing. He said we didn't expect you to meet you so soon." Aryan replied with an unfriendly smile.

"Me too. But it seems destiny had another plans for us."

"Can you imagine they will be staying in the same house. He will be with Prachi all the time while I can meet her only at the college and office." Ranbir sulked.

"He is close to even Shahana. Today I'm really thankful to you bro for forcing me to join the office, else I wouldn't have been able to meet Shahana there." Aryan said.

"If by any chance, Prachi begins to like Rishi, I will be dead." he said dramatically.

"I think is more dangerous than Vicky or Aarav." Aryan concluded.

"Exactly. Aarav and Vicky were vile creatures whom no girl can love but this Rishi is a good guy."

"Isn't there any way to stop this mishap?"

"I have an idea, but it will be difficult for us." Ranbir said gravely.

"Go on, your plans are always effective." 

"We can say that we have to work overtime and they would have to stay with us in our office. By the time they return home, they will get tired and won't have time to talk with that Rishi." Ranbir proposed.

"But we don't go to the office everyday. What about the other days?" Aryan pointed.

"We can give the excuse that we want their help in studies as we are bad in it while they are the toppers." Ranbir suggested.

"It would mean extra hours of work and studies." Aryan said gloomily.

"I can do this for Prachi. Anything is better than imagining Prachi sitting with Rishi and laughing at his jokes." Ranbir was resolved.

Aryan kept pondering what to do.

Rhea was sleeping peacefully in her room imagining her sworn enemy Prachi to be rotting in jail when her phone rang. She groaned and cut the call. The caller was a desperate one and kept calling her as many times as she cut it. Being frustrated, she picked up the call at last without noticing the name of the caller.

"Who the hell is it?" she asked.

"Don't you recognize your boyfriend babe?" a masculine voice sounded from the other end.
