EPISODE 36

Prachi and Ranbir were making a good progress. They were far ahead of others.

"Can't we just rest for a while?" Ranbir pleaded for the tenth time.

"Keep walking. We have to win." Prachi replied not even looking back.

"We are already having the lead...."

"Didn't you hear the story of the rabbit and the tortoise? How the rabbit was overconfident and lost ultimately. I don't want similar the thing to happen to us."

"She and her lectures......" Ranbir sighed. "I have to think of something else." he muttered.

"Aah......" he let out a scream suddenly.

Prachi turned back to see Ranbir on the ground. She rushed to him immediately.

"How did you fall? How many times I have told you to be careful, but you won't listen to me ever.....All I say is like lecture to you..... Where does it hurt?" Prachi was very concerned for Ranbir.

"Here.... Ouch! It's hurting very much." he pretended to be hurt.

Prachi was tried all the methods she knew to relieve Ranbir of his pain but nothing worked. After about 20 minutes, Ranbir stood up and said, "let's go".

"What about your leg. How will you walk?"

"Umm..... It's better now." he said and got up.

Prachi eyed him suspiciously.

"Did you lie to me?" she asked sternly.

"Why would I lie to you?"

"I don't know...... Just answer my question."

"I.....I...." Ranbir stammered, unable to lie in front of Prachi.

"No need to answer. I understood everything. You tricked me. I'll not spare you." she shouted and began chasing him.

Naturally, Ranbir and Prachi were the first to reach.

"Congrats! You are the first!" Sumair congratulated them. "I'll announce the bonus prize when others arrive. You may rest till then.

"Thank you sir"

"See, we won. I told you, I'm the best." Ranbir boasted.

"Oh hello Mr., what did you do? I was the one who urged you to move fast." Prachi pointed.

"I was the one who carried the bags." Ranbir argued back.

"Did I order you to do so? You did it on your own accord." she said angrily.

"I'm not a fool like you. I have the least manners. I know it's not fair to make a lady carry your bags."

"What did you say, I am a fool?"

"Oh! Sorry.... I said it by mistake..... You are not a fool......" Ranbir said solemnly.

Prachi gave a victorious smile but it was soon replaced by a frown when Ranbir completed his sentence.

".....You are not a fool because you are a chikchiki!" he laughed.

"You baklu!" she screamed.

They would have started another World War there, if they hadn't been interrupting by another pair of voice arguing. It seemed that the second pair had reached too.

Soon they were visible. They were Aryan and Shahana. They were arguing for some reason. Ranbir and Prachi went to them.

"Why are you arguing?" Prachi asked.

"This Aryan must have done something. What did you do Aryan?" Ranbir said.

"What? Are you my bro or hers? She is the root cause of all the problem." Aryan huffed.

"Exactly. Aryan is such a good boy. What did you do Shahana?" Prachi supported Aryan.

"Why are you supporting him? You are my sister." Shahana said with a pout.

"Because she is intelligent. She knows that you are wrong."

"You are the wrong one as monkeys never do any sensible."

"That's why I named you Sa ha na. You are just intolerable. Shall I tell everyone why we are late?"

"Go on. I'm not afraid. It's your fault."

"Why did you get late?" Ranbir was curious to know.

"Because this stupid fell down and hurt herself." Aryan said pointing at Shahana.

"How did you fall down?" Prachi questioned.

"That's the main point. I fell down beside of Aryan."

"Me? You fell down because you were not looking where you were going." Aryan defended himself.

"I was not looking, because I was busy chasing you. You were the one who had teased me. So, I had to chase you and because of that I fell down. Thus, the conclusion is that you are at fault."

"I'm not!"

"You are!"

"I'm not!"

"You are!"

"Stop it both of you! Why are you fighting like children?" Prachi scolded.

"Exactly. Fighting isn't good." Ranbir supported her.

"Look who's speaking. They were the ones fighting before us." Aryan and Shahana mumbled.

They had failed to notice that others had arrived while they were busy fighting. The voice of Sumair made them remember everything.

"Prachi and Ranbir were the first ones to reach here. So, they are the winners. Please give a big round of applause for them. I'll tell what bonus they get, but before that you need to know the next task. Are you ready?"

There was a loud cheer from the students.

"It's pretty simple. You will have to cook your own dinner. Later, you may share it among yourselves. But, there is a twist. The utensils, ingredients and the other necessary items that you will need for cooking is hidden in this forest. You'll have to find them within the given time limit. Don't worry, there are no dangerous animals in this forest." he explained.
"Prachi and Ranbir get this map as a bonus. It has the locations of the places market where you can find objects of your need."

"I envy you, it will be so much easier with a map." Shahana sighed.

"We can share it." Prachi smiled.

"Really?" Shahana exclaimed with joy.

"Of course. Now let's get moving. We don't want to be late, do we?"

Sorry for this boring part, but I couldn't think of anything else.
