His eyes met mines. I could see that he was still in a state of shock. In the background, I could see my dad and brother watching something in the living room. So they decided to send one of their guests to get their own door?

I watched as they shared a fist bump, sighing in disbelief. I waved at Aizawa, greeting him at MY doorstep. What were they thinking? Why is Aizawa here? I completely forgot about the two idiots chilling behind me until Aizawa gave me a dumbfounded look.

"You sure this is the right choice?" He pointed to the overly dramatic kids behind me, "I thought I had a free day. Now their two other problematic children added to my to-do list."

"You think I don't have it hard? I have to look after these two every single day like I'm their guardian or something."

Aizawa was about to speak until my mother interrupted. Her eye lit up as she saw me at the doorway from the kitchen. Navigating through the house, she finally arrived to meet you. Pushing the tired man aside to make room for herself, she pulled me into a bear hug. I mouthed 'sorry' for her behalf, Aizawa didn't seem to mind and joined my father on the couch.

"Hey, Mom. Nice to see you too, but your suffocating me. Mom, I rather die on the field. Could you like— let me go now? Mom!"

At last, she lets you go. Hurriedly I took a breath of fresh air. Her bone-crushing hug was not one of my favorites, but I had to pull through it to make her happy. I coughed and tried to suck in more air as I slowly, but surely recovered from the hug.

"Sorry dearly. I just missed you so much. I'm so happy that you came!"

Her eyes trailed down your face to my clothes and then to the old scars that littered your arms. I saw her tear up, I stood there in worry as her finger traced the new scar I earned from my latest fight. It wasn't big, it was small but visible up close. I tensed up when she pulled you into another up, this time it was loose. I took in a whiff as I buried your face into the crook of her neck. The scent of rose and tulips was intoxicating as I peacefully stood there, feeling calm from my mother's presence.

She wiped away the tears with the back of her hand, I smiled as I cupped her cheeks giving her a gentle kiss. She sniffled suppressing her tears with a genuine smile on her face, she laughed awkwardly when she spotted the boys behind me.

Quickly wiping away the remains of her tears, she turned to them was an over-dramatic gasp. I stood up straight and watch my mom greet them with her usual attitude. Hugging them individually, the boy played along just fine. Liking the attention they were getting, especially Hawks.

I chuckled silently to myself as you saw Asher gave Hawks the stink eye. My mom went up on her tippy toes to pat, Asher's black hair. He had dyed the tips of his hair purple recently, I had to admit it suited him pretty well.

"You have grown a lot Ashy. Awe, look at you— so handsome and well. Then last time I saw you were when you brought [Y/N] home after she peed her pants."
