I came back for you

22: "finding"

A week has passed by since the last time Earth saw Kao but they would still call each other daily.

"Here is what I found" Ohm was giving Kao the things he found on the day Earth killed someone.

"Right there. The car stops but he didn't hit him that bad to kill him." -Ohm was showing Kao the video of the accident. Kao finally told him about everything. He asked Ohm not to tell Fluke. He had Earth's trust and wasn't going to compromise it but he needed Ohm's help.

"Did you find who the man is?" -Kao

"Yeah. This is his address" -Ohm.

"Really?" - Kao was surprised by all the information. Ohm was always effective.

"So this is the man's name and this are his hospital records from the day of the accident. He had a broken leg but that's it. The bill was paid by an unknown man which I am guessing is Tay. Also they were given this amount on that exact day. I am guessing to prevent a lawsuit." -Ohm

"I'm taking all of this. I'm showing Earth today"-Kao said and Ohm nodded.

"Good luck" -Ohm

"Thank you, Ohm. For everything." Kao said leaving and Ohm just smiled. Kao was his best friend, he wanted him to be happy.

Kao was waiting for Jack to bring Earth to their house. Sammy helped Earth sneak out the house while Tay is at work. They had an hour only before Jack had to take him back.

Jack arrived with Earth. Earth got out of the car and hugged Kao. Kao was excited to tell Earth that he could be free. They went in the house and Kao kissed Earth.

"I want to show you something" -Kao said taking Earth to the living room. They sat down on the floor and Kao took out the papers and his laptop putting them on the center table.

"Before you see this, I wanna tell you that you are not a bad person. Everything that you have gone through this five years will slowly be part of your past and we will make new memories. I love you so much." Kao smiled and kissed Earth but Earth was confused.

Kao showed him everything. He showed him the video of the day of the accident, the man he supposedly kill and the money Tay paid. It was painful to see the lie that he has been suffering all those years. He thought he ended someone's life for being irresponsible but he didn't. He did hurt someone but he is alive and well now. Earth didn't know what to say. He didn't cry but he was sad that his life has been miserable because of the guilt he felt. He thought he deserved all that suffering.

"Hey. Everything is fine. I know it is painful but you will ge through this with me. I will help you. We can be happy. You can leave him Earth. It is time for you to be happy, it is time for you to think about yourself. Your father will be fine. Tay can't hurt you anymore." -Kao said hugging Earth. Earth started crying as soon as Earth hugged him. He was free. Finally. Thanks to Kao.

Earth stood up.
"I need to go see Tay" -Earth

"Wait. I can go with you." -Kao was worried

"No. It's fine. I'll go. I need to pack too, right?" Earth said meaning they would finally live together

Kao smiled and nodded.
Kao texted Sammy to take care of Earth when he got back. Jack would be there to protect him too.

Earth went back to the house and waited until Tay came back from work. As soon as he heard him he went downstairs. Tay was in his home office, Earth heard him slam the door when he came back. He went in without noticing Sammy trying to talk to him.

"You liar!" -Earth said and Tay just looked at him.

"You said I killed that man. I didn't Tay. I didn't kill him. How could you lie about something like that?" -Earth was mad but he got angrier because Tay wouldn't show any expression. He looked calm.

"And who told you that? Your Kao?" Tay said staring at him. Earth was shocked. He walked backwards trying to get to the door.

"Don't leave. I'm not going to do anything to you. You know I have been trying to figure out why the fuck does a CEO pretend to be a bodyguard. I couldn't find anything until your father decided to open his mouth. He got bailed from jail the other day but who could bail him out? I didn't. So I looked for him and found him drunk at his house again and I made him tell me everything." Tay said getting closer and closer to Earth. Earth was a little scared.

"What did you do to my dad?" -Earth

"Oh I didn't do anything baby. He is ok. Don't worry." -Tay said with a smile. He brushed Earth's hair with his hand.

"I started doing some digging on the love of your life, Kao. He is something isn't he. I found your picture and the phone you have in the closet by the way." Tay said which made Earth's eyes widened.

"I know Jack took you to him today. Have you slept with him? Probably at the mountain cabin, huh?" Tay said glaring at Earth and walking back to his chair. Earth didn't answer that.

"I'll let you leave. Leave if you want. Go have a happy life with him." Tay said but made Earth confused.

"Before you go and pack your thing tho. You should look at this." Tay grabbed an envelope and gave it to Earth. He started walking to leave the office "I'll be in our bedroom waiting for you. I know you'll return to me" Tay said leaving and closing the door.

Earth opened the envelope and he couldn't believe what he saw. He really thought he could be happy with Kao just them two but that will never happen. Earth cried and dropped to the floor.

Tay got Earth's disposable phone from the closet and called Kao.

"Hey are you okay?" Kao answered the call

"He is, Kao." Tay said

Kao was silent.

"You should really be more careful on who you bail out of jail this days. They can be a little untrustworthy." -Tay said referring to Pat.

"You really think I didn't know he would tell you? Where is Earth?" Kao panicked.

"Oh don't worry. He is probably on his way to see you. But hey, I promise you he'll come back to me. Not because I am forcing him to but because he wants to. He'll be sleeping next to me tonight like always" Tay ended the call, not letting Kao say what he was going to say. He smiled and went to bed.
