I came back for you

24. "War"

Kao drove to pick up War. He finally take his son to the new house but Earth wouldn't be there with them. He left out a small cry before going in his Aunt's house to get War. He really thought this time it would be different.

He went in the house and War came running to hug him.

"Pa" Hearing little War's voice and hugging him made Kao's suffering less.

"Lets go home, yeah?" He said and War nodded. They said good bye to their aunt and Kao grabbed War's bags.

A few months after he had left Earth, Kao went to a bar. He was barely forming the company together and couldn't find another way to stop his father. He sometimes thought of seeing Earth just from afar but he was scared of seeing him and going back to him. He wanted to protect Earth. He got really drunk at the bar that day, he kept on thinking about the life he would've had with Earth. A happy life.
Kao didn't remember leaving the bar. He woke up to an unfamiliar room. He was laying down next to a woman. He didn't know who it was. He was dizzy but stood up. There was a condom wrapper next to his jeans. He cursed himself.

That woman ended up getting pregnant. He got tested to see if War was his son and he was. He was happy to have a son but sad that it wouldn't be with Earth. The woman was scared and said that a child would ruin her life and future plans. She wanted to give up War for adoption but Kao refused. He decided to raise him and be the father War deserved. Kao's father, Teo, also refused to give him up for adoption. He wanted grandchildren. Teo loved War. He would say that War would take over the business once Kao aged.
Although Teo was a good grandfather, he wasn't a good father to Kao. He still put him in jail and made sure War didn't remember him.

War is three years old now. He loves his father and his uncles, Ohm and Fluke. That is the only family he has. Kao's aunt took care of him but only because Kao paid her not because she was family.

"We are here" -Kao said as the gate to the house opened.

"Wow." War said looking at all the trees.

"You like it?" Kao said and War nodded.

Kao parked the car and got War out. He opened the door and War was excited. The house was big. It wasn't decorated or had many furniture yet. Kao still wanted Earth to decorate it.

"You wanna go see uncle Fluke?" Kao said and War got more excited.

Kao put War's bags in his room and then texted Fluke that they would go to the restaurant.

Fluke was always happy to see War. He wanted a child too but didn't want to tell Ohm. Ohm once said they happy as it is and they are both busy anyway.

Earth didn't go out of his room much. Slowly his garden was dying and he didn't care. He wanted to die with it. Tay liked that Earth didn't leave the house. He was in full control once again.

"We are having a party this weekend. It is our anniversary. Aren't you happy? Five years together and married." Tay said laying on the bed next to Earth. He had been doing him since he got out of work. Earth's body hurt completely. Tay hugged him. "I love it when you don't resist" Tay kissed Earth and went to the bathroom.

Earth didn't fight anymore. The past four years he would fight even when Tay would still win because he was stronger but not anymore. What was the point of fighting back all this years? Earth wanted to cry. Five years with Tay! Five years being miserable. The last few months he had been somewhat happy. Seeing Kao again and getting to love him again. It was sad.

"Hey. My baby War" -Ohm said hugging him. Fluke reserved a table at his restaurant so they could eat together. War smiled and hugged him back. Ohm carried him to seat him on the child seat.

"Hello sunshine" Fluke said surprising him and kissing his cheeks. War's smile was like sunshine.

"How are you?" Fluke asked Kao.
"Fine now that War is here with me" Kao said ruffling War's hair.

"I told them to bring us the food already" Ohm said. Fluke has been busy in his office and couldn't tell the waiter to bring the food.

"Yeah." Fluke smiled.
"Look. I got this today." Fluke handed an envelope to Ohm.

Ohm opened it and his eyes widened and shook his head. He handed the envelope to Kao.

"This is insane. He is fu-" -Kao
"Ya!" Fluke said staring at Kao and smiling at War.

"Five years married? Feels like he has been with him forever" Fluke said. The envelope had the invitation to Tay and Earth's anniversary party.

"It had this inside. A little note." Fluke gave it to Kao.

"You may bring your friend Kao." Kao read the note. "He is doing it on purpose"

"Totally" Ohm said.

"Here is your food" the waiter said and War's eyes became so big.

Kao, Ohm and Fluke smiled looking at him.

"Adorable. You are so cute" Ohm said which gave chills to Fluke. Good chills. Ohm would be a great dad.

They were eating but Kao kept staring at the envelope.

"Don't you dare, Kao. You ain't going." Ohm said.

"This is the only way I can talk to him" -Kao

"No." Fluke said.

"I don't have to go to the party. You can sneak me in" -Kao said.

Ohm and Fluke at each other. They would help Kao talk to Earth.
