I came back for you

23: "back"

Kao called Sammy but she said Earth had left already. Kao was worried. Earth didn't call him. He was going to go look for him when he got the text of Jack to open the gate. He went outisde to see Earth getting out of the car.

"Hey. I was worried." Kao hugged him but Earth didn't hug him back.

"Where are your bags? I'll help you get them out" Kao said thinking that Earth would finally move in with him.

Earth had no reaction. He just stared at Kao. How could he do this to him?

"There are no bags" -Earth said

"What do you mean?" -Kao said. Earth handed the envelope Tay gave him to Kao. Kao opened it and sighed. He closed his eyes and thought about his next words carefully.

"I was going to tell you. I was going to tell you as soon as we were together. As soon as WE were free." -Kao said.

"You are free Kao! You have been free all this time! I mean look how free you have been! You lied to me! You keep hiding things from me." Earth said crying. "Why would you keep this from me? This is why you didn't come back before right? Not because of your father but because you were in love and had a child." -Earth was devastated.

"No! I wasn't in love. I had him but I didn't love her. It wasn't like that. I just didn't want to lose you again. I did want to tell you but you weren't ready yet. I was going to take you to him so you would meet him. I'm sorry." -Kao said.

"You have a kid, Kao. You can be with him right now. All this time you could've been with him instead of being here."

"I love you. I know I did wrong on hiding him but you will love him and he will love you. We will be family. This is our home, we can be together finally. Please." -Kao said with tears in his eyes

"You have a family already. I can't be someone to that child. Go to him. Don't be like our fathers, Kao. Be a good one." -Earth said turning around to leave. Jack was inside the car waiting to take him back.

"No! No. No. Please Earth. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. You are finally free. We can work this out. Just tell me what you want me to do to make everything better. Just tell me please." Kao said hugging Earth.

"Stop." Earth said pushing him. "All of this was such a mistake. Go back to your life, you clearly had one." Earth said. He went inside the car and made Jack drive.
Kao could be happy without him. He could form a family. He was just interfering with Kao's life. Earth kept thinking that Kao felt guilty because he could be happy and Earth couldn't, that is why he tried to make Earth's life less miserable.

Earth got back to the house. He though after this morning he would be able to be happy again. Sleep next to Kao. But he is back to reality. He went inside the bedroom and laid down on that damn bed he hated. Tay wasn't asleep yet. He turned around and hugged him.

"Welcome home" Tay said.

The next morning, Tay had thrown away the picture and disposable phone. He fired Jack and Sammy. Earth didn't object. Earth was lifeless and depressed. He wouldn't go out of his room. Everything was dark in his world again.

Kao was trying to figure out a way to fix things but there is no way to communicate with Earth. Fluke couldn't reach him either and he tried to go to Tay's house but he wasn't allowed in. Earth thought Fluke knew all about it which is true, Ohm and Fluke knew about Kao's child. They were his uncles. It was the only secret Fluke had from him. The secret was too big that he refused to keep any other secrets from Earth.

Kao and Ohm scheduled a meeting with Tay. Tay had a plan already. The deal had to be off and he made sure not to lose that much money.

"Good morning gentlemen." Tay said happily infuriating Kao.

"We asked you here bec-" Ohm was interrupted.

"I know why you called me here. This is the document that ends our contract." -Tay said while his lawyer passed the document to them.

"You can't pull the deal. You will lose money." -Kao said.

"I will lose money but it isn't that much." -Tay said. "Our contract stated that if I wanted to terminate the contract I just had to replace it with someone else which I will. I will get you someone else to make a deal with. I will pay the fees as well" Tay said. He was right. Kao and Ohm were making Tay earn so much money, they thought he would never want to pull the deal. Replacing the deal with someone else wasn't part of the contract originally but Tay was too smart. Kao agreed for Ohm to sign it in desperation to get information on Tay but especially Earth.

Ohm had no choice but to sign. He was still the president of the company. Xon company wouldn't lose money. They had many deals and there company itself was rich.

"Thank you. I hope everything goes well with you. Live a happy life." Tay said sarcastically and smiling. He stood up and was about to leave.

"I'll get him back" Kao said standing up.

Tay laughed and left.

Kao was going to go behind him but Ohm stopped him.

"Stop Kao" Ohm said making him sit down.

"I thought I finally made him happy. That we could finally be together and make him forget about all the bad things he had to go through all this years" Kao said covering his face with one hand.

"You could have told him about little War" Ohm said. War was Kao's son name.

"I got scared. I thought of telling him once he moved in with me. I could explain everything better." -Kao said. He felt like Earth was even further away now.

"I think it is time for you to go for him. You know he misses you and you miss him too. Earth knows about him already." -Ohm said. Little War was with Kao's aunt this whole time. Kao would call him every day. Some days he would visit but he was careful. He loved his son.

"Yeah. I want to go for him too. I want him to be with me already." Kao said standing up.

"I'm leaving. I don't feel good." Kao said.

"Hey. It will be fine. You'll get him back." Ohm said trying to cheer Kao up but it was useless.

Everything was a mess again.
