Caesar's pov

"What are you doing to me Marvelous Chloe." I whispered pulling away from the heated kiss to look at her.

She looked even more innocent with swollen pink lips. She looked at me with hooded amber eyes, sneaked her tongue out and brushed her lower lip lightly before tucking it back in.

When she didn't respond. She lifted her hand up and traced it along my jaw to the stubble on my chin. Yet again, I found myself leaning into her soft touch.

"God you're so beautiful." I inhaled sharply as I watched her run her hand to my cheeks. She was clueless to what she was doing to me.

"Is it bad to kiss someone who's not your husband?" She asked shocking the daylights out of me.

"Why?" I asked back.

"Because we just kissed and you're not my husband or boyfriend for that matter." She dropped her hand and looked down on her fingers.

"But that doesn't make it wrong because I've no girlfriend or wife, neither do you have a boyfriend or husband."

"But I know this is very wrong Caesar." She mumbled looking sad.

"Why is it wrong?" I was getting curious now.

"Because you're the last person on earth I want to kiss." She said flatly looking at me finally with a look giving away no emotions.

"Why?" I yet again asked trying to hide my disappointment and hurt.

"Because I don't exactly want to." She gave me a pointed look still giving away nothing. "I'm sorry Caesar for starting this, I...I---"

I brushed whatever she was struggling to say off and saved her quivering mess, "It's okay, I understand." I forced a smile. "Are you taking my offer? I want you to go to school, it's up to you to you to decide on the course you wanna pursue."

"Thanks Caesar, but I already did a business management course and I have a certificate." She answered her voice stiff.

"Is that what you wanted?" I pushed.

"Yeah." Her answer was cold and she was looking down on her lap avoiding my gaze.

"Look at me Marvelous." I demanded.

"Why?" She looked up and now her eyes were getting red real quick. She was quite an amazing creature, how emotions displayed on her eyes in a blink of an eye was so not common.

"What do you want to be?" I asked rather loudly getting agitated.

"If it will make you sleep at night well." She was looking straight to my eyes, "A chef."

I choked on my own saliva the moment those words left her mouth. "What?" I couldn't stop myself from asking such a stupid question.

"Yeah, funny?" She raised a brow.
