After a long moment of staring at each other she adjusted herself and brought back her fake wide smile that's always offered to customers as if it's supposed to be an appetizer or something on that line.

"Your coffee is getting cold sir." She lowered the tray slowly on the table and looked me straight in the eye then said, "Enjoy your coffee siiiir." The way she drawled out the name sir at the same time dragging it made me have goosebumps and it also raised my anger ten folds up.

Nobody had ever talked back to me like that, in the most sarcastic way.

She was about to walk out on me when I grabbed her wrist. She turned to look at me her eyes bulged out. "Not here Caesar, let's talk about this at home."

"No." I growled lowly. "We're leaving this place. Now!"

"What?" She asked utterly shocked.

"Yes let's go." I tugged her wrist as I stood up.

"No, I'm working Caesar."

"Now you're not going to."

"Caesar you can't get to sabotage even my work. This is the only thing that makes me feel that am not an opportunist." She seethed clenching her jaw.

"You're not an opportunist, you never were." I replied lowly as I started walking with her towards the door going out.

She tried pulling her hands from my hard grip but it was all to vain.

"Please don't do this to me Caesar." She stopped middle way and looked up at me with watery eyes. "Please." She added.

I almost caved in but then I looked around the place she was working at, I felt so small.

"We're leaving." I said with finality and she nodded fast not wanting to cause a scene as we were gaining attention from the people around.

"I...i'm returning this then." She stuttered looking down at the apron.

I loosened my grip on her and said, "I'm giving you two minutes to resign and find me in my car out there across the street."

"Caesar...must I really---"

"That's final Chloe." I cut her off harshly.

She nodded curtly and walked towards the counter where Mr bad mohawk was watching us from intently.

I left feeling so bad for being the reason she looked pained. I just did what was right, I hope she understands it too.

My passenger door opened and an angry looking Chloe showed. Her eyes were puffy red, evident she was crying.

"Marvelous---"

"I'm not marvelous, Chloe is my name." She seethed banging the passenger door as she lowered herself angrily on her seat.

"But you're still the Marvelous Chloe I know." I said it slowly almost in a whisper as I leaned over her to fasten her seatbelt.

"And you don't treat me like I'm Marvelous." She said looking straight ahead angrily.

I watched her angry look being replaced with fear immediately and her hands flew over her mouth clamping it.

There in front of us was Cherry with some guy inside the car. It seemed like they didn't saw us as they were so deeply buried in a conversation shutting the world out.

Cherry looked so happy talking to the boy, it was so evident even from the smile on her face. Then I saw the boy inclining slowly towards Cherry and soon they were freaking kissing infront of me. The world stopped rotating for the moment there as I gripped my sterling wheel hard my knuckles turning white.
