Chloe's pov

I've never felt like a woman before, I always felt like I was a kid, a naive girl who had been locked up all her life. I never felt like I belonged, never felt like I mattered...

Until now.

It all changed in a spur of a moment. Courtesy of the man I never pegged as the one who does such cheesy yet mind snatching things. I forgot the Chloe from Rochester that I really was and the new Chloe in Bronx took over. The girl who was now unconditionally in love with the man she loathed at some point. The girl who had now found her purpose.

It never is right but at that point, wherever I was, everything was okay for me. I was a boss, a title I wasn't used to yet. I had a place where I could call home because the people in that place were more than just home to me.

I was sitting behind my desk in my little office reminiscing about the recent escapades of my life, when I heard a soft knock on the door.

For one, Caesar never knocks, he walks right through and it never even surprises me, he's my zombie after all. And Nicole never knocks... She barrels in just as she does out. Some friend I have.

Even before I responded, the door swang open and in came a cheerful Cherry. I smiled at the sight of her. "Well, what's the point of knocking if you were going to send yourself in." I turned around wholly to face her.

"A little alert is recommended always my lady. Can't be too brave to walk into the sight of my brother's tongue all over your face or far much worse, somewhere else." She smirked.

I gasped. "You didn't..." I shook my head unbelievably.

"What?" She scrunched up her face. "That'll be gross."

"So you don't want to know any details about my sexlife?" I was the one to smirk now.

"Not with my brother..." She screwed her eyes shut taking a seat across mine. "Wait!" She snapped her eyes open. "Sexlife?"

She seemed lost for a moment there. And if my smirk didn't grew bigger, I don't know then.

"You just didn't screw... Oh shit... That doesn't mean anything right?" Her eyes were popped out. Saucers.

"I didn't say anything Cherry pie." I whispered.

"When did you become this corny?" Her face lit up.

"You tell me Cherry." I took a pen from my desk sucked it's lid, enjoying the look cherry  threw my way.

"You're glowing." She pointed out and then went ahead to check me out in fascination like a newfound galaxy. "And there's something in your eyes..."

"Cherry..." I was starting to feel shy now.

"No, you shut up... There's a spark in your eyes." She seemed genuinely interested in checking me out. "And you look the happiest I've  ever seen you." She ended her analysis.

"I am happy cherry, always have---"

"You don't know what you're saying lady, the first time you were here, I noticed something. Your eyes were almost dead, you held this kind of pain that I used to see in my brothers eyes when we were left alone. And those times when you went to stay at school, yours eyes were just as same as when I met you." She pouted.

"You're so observant, aren't you?" My lips stretched lazily.

"Well, when it comes to my ting ting, yeah."

God, I love this girl.

"You know I love you, right?" My voice lowered as I looked at her.

"Yeah, I know, I know but please don't cry, heck! I don't know what I'll do!" She shrieked and I bursted out laughing.
