Trigger warning: mentions of sexual abuse, drug abuse, and wrongful conviction.

Sorry, this is all I could think of, it's kind of an AU where Theo is arrested just like in s3 but he's indicted and gets sent to Arkham because of his obvious sociopathy and narcissism, and he crosses paths with my OC Sparrow Jackson, who was r***d and m******d by her father, stepfather, and an Arkham inmate named Irving when during her incarceration there when she was just 13.

Can Theo restore her faith in humanity and help her believe that there's still some good men in the world?

Third person POV

Sparrow Jackson led a hard, horrible life.

She had been locked up in Arkham at only 13 for killing a man in cold blood, but she was completely innocent. A corrupt system and an even more corrupt Deputy D.A named Miss Selina Larkin, who had tampered with the evidence in order to convict her of something  she didn't do, got her in that mess. Her court assigned defense attorney had convinced her to plead not guilty by reason of insanity, got her locked up in hell on earth. She didn't belong in Arkham. No one does. Let alone a 13 year old innocent young girl such as herself. Some of the men in Arkham were perverts arrested for molestation and sex crimes with kids younger than yourself.

Arkham was horrible for anyone. Let alone a 13 year old...

The exploitation and abuse continued even after her conviction was overturned. She lived on the streets from ages 14-22, drug addicted and turning to prostitution in order to get enough money to fund her heroin addiction. At 22, she were thrown in Arkham again.

And old man James Irving found her. The man who tormented her so long ago.

"Oh, birdy... You haven't aged a day. That body is still so little and perfect..." He says quietly, sitting inappropriately close to her on the bench. She looks up and see the businessman guy sitting across the room. She feels Irving's hands on the small of her back and instinctively closes her eyes in pain and fear.

"Get your hands off her." A powerful, domineering voice demanded next to her. She peeked up and saw him. That dreamy, handsome businessman guy who got locked up for  orchestrating about half a dozen murders, including the killing of Gertrude Kapelput, plus an Arkham breakout. He was a true cold-blooded sociopath.

And she loved it....

Irving backed away from her and took a seat with his perverted friends, all rapists and child molesters.

"What's your name?" The businessman asks politely, taking a seat across from her.

"Sparrow Jackson."

"What a beautiful name. I'm former Mayor Theo Galavan." Theo says politely. He seems so harmless and friendly. Hard to believe there's a twisted, insane sociopath on the inside of that polite, proper man.

"Looks like you could use a friend." He says warmly, smiling. His smile makes her feel safe and comfortable. No wonder people fell for his lies...

"I've never had a friend before..." She says quietly.

"Well, it's simple. I protect you from Irving, you talk to me and be nice to me. Completely platonic. Deal?" Theo says.

She has a hard time trusting him completely. All her life, men have used her for sex and discarded her when they were done with her. Her father, her stepfather, Irving, those men on the streets.
