I run the brush over Nightwing's scales and she purrs happily. Water laps at my waist as I scrub her down. "You definitely needed a bath, girl." She growls softly and I smile. "You know I don't mean to insult you, Nightwing."

She growls again and I hear something slap the surface of the water before a wave washes over me. I splutter slightly and wipe water from my eyes. Laughter sounds and I turn to see Hiccup and Toothless at the bank of the lagoon. I left my leather armor back in his hut, and changed just for this occasion.

I'm wearing a light blue tunic and dark green trousers. "What're you laughing at?" He tries to push down his laughter but not successfully. "Sorry," he says and I roll my eyes. "What can I help you with, Hiccup."

I go back to scrubbing at Nightwing's scales and she grumbles softly. "I was just wondering if you wanted to take a flight with me before we go on our raid." It's been weeks since the whole Snow Wraith fiasco and it hasn't been the same between me and Hiccup.

Heather has been giving us more information on Hunter shipments and we've been raiding and setting a lot of dragons free. Today will be no different. Except after every raid I get more and more worried about Heather. She could be discovered at any moment and I won't be able to do anything about it.

"You… want to fly with me?" I turn back to look at him and he scratches at his cheek. "Yeah. Unless you don't want to which is fine."

"No, I want to. Nightwing could use the flight to dry off anyway."

"Great. Here," he leans down and holds his hand out for me to take. I smile and walk toward him with Nightwing following after me. I slip my hand into Hiccup's and he's starting to pull me out when something shoves him forward. We both fall backward and I feel my back hit Nightwing's side, she must have caught us.

Hiccup braces himself with his hands on Nightwing's skin keeping himself from completely colliding with me. Toothless' laughter enters my ears and I stare into Hiccup's eyes feeling warmth fill me. Once again Hiccup's face was inches from mine and once again I don't know what to do.

I acted recklessly when I kissed him three years ago. And I was confused by my feelings for him. I'm not confused by them now, I know I like him, but does he feel the same? Or has he decided we're better off as friends. I hate romantic feelings they're confusing and following your heart doesn't always end well.

Hiccup clears his throat and steps back, out of my space, looking away from me. Somehow that makes me feel worse. "Hiccup! Are we raiding a ship or not?" I hear Astrid call as she appears above us on Stormfly.

"Yeah, we're coming, Astrid." She nods and flies away. I pull strands of hair behind my ear and go to the bank, pulling myself out. "Guess we'll have to take a rain check on that flight."

"Guess so," he says pulling himself onto the bank too, wiping water from his armor. Nightwing jumps from the water to my side and I climb on. "I'm going to go home and change. Meet you at the stables."

"Okay." He flies off on Toothless and I watch him go. "What am I going to do, girl?" She growls sadly and takes off flying towards Hiccup's hut. I quickly change, pull on my sword, and then get back on Nightwing after putting her saddle back on.

"Fishlegs, flaming boulder!" Hiccup calls as I dodge a stream of arrows. I couldn't stop thinking about the look on Hiccup's face and the way he's been acting since the lagoon. Actually he's been acting strange since Heather, but I just brushed it off as him being hurt by my lying.
