I open my eyes and sit up, rubbing sleep from my lids. I push the blanket off me and get to my feet. Toothless grumbles from where he's curled up asleep on his slab of rock. "Morning to you too, bud." His ears twitch before he lifts his head up, eyes opening, and yawning in response.

"Got a big day ahead of us." We're doing another raid on one of Viggo's ships and will try to free more dragons. Toothless pushes himself up and starts stretching out his limbs and wings. I head down the stairs and towards Ivy's door. She's been... task oriented since Dagur's passing and the team's getting worried about her.

I bring my fist up and rap softly on the wood, waiting patiently for a response. When I don't get one I push open the door and poke my head in only to find her bed empty. I sigh and lean against the doorframe, wondering where she is this time.

I feel Toothless nuzzle my arm and glance back at him. I give him a thankful smile and rub his head before heading for the entrance to my hut. I get into my saddle and Toothless takes flight, giving me the perfect view of the Edge. I scan the base looking for the other Riders.

Suddenly screaming fills the air and normally I would be worried except I recognize it as Snotlout's scream. Which probably means Hookfang's either burned him or smacked him into a wall. "It came from the arena, bud. Let's go." He grumbles before flying towards it and landing near the other Riders.

"Hey, I heard Snotlout screaming. What's going on?" Astrid points and I notice they're all staring into the arena with rapt attention. "Oh, Gods," I say when I see Ivy and Snotlout sparing in the arena. "Ooh," Fishlegs says when Ivy delivers a kick to his ribs, swinging her sword which he blocks with his axe.

"Why on earth would Snotlout agree to this? Ivy is a skilled warrior and he's... well Snotlout!"

"She didn't give him much of a choice," Heather says and the others nod in agreement. "I think we can all agree that Snotlout is toast," Ruffnut says and Tuff hums in agreement. Said Viking dives out of the way, just narrowly missing getting nicked by her sword.

"How long has this been going on?"

"They've been sparring for a good few minutes," Fishlegs tells me and Astrid turns away from the violence to look at me. "Before that Ivy had been on patrol. I don't think she's gotten much sleep."

"Of course not. She had finally reunited with her brother who'd been trying to better himself only to lose him to the Dragon Hunters. He sacrificed himself to save his twins sisters. So very tragic," Tuff says bluntly and we all stare at him with slightly narrowed eyes. "What? Is that not what happened?"

"That's how I remember it," Ruff replies and I roll my eyes. "But it would be very insensitive to talk about it when she's around. It hasn't been that long so you muttonheads need to keep your recollections to yourselves."

I look back at the two fighting Vikings in time to see Ivy elbowing him in the stomach, grabbing his arm, and using his weight to throw him over her shoulder and to the ground which looked quite painful. "Ouch!" Heather remarks and stares down at her sister sadly.

Obviously Ivy is trying to work through her grief by hurting others and Heather probably doesn't know what to do to make her feel better. "Okay! Okay! Stop, I give up!" He cries to the raven haired girl in front of him who is pointing the end of her sword at his chest.

"Of course you give up," she says then gently taps him with the blade before pulling it away from him. "You're dead." Ivy straightens up and brushes her hair out of her face, sweat causing strands to stick to her face. "Alright, gang, shows over. Go prepare for today's raid."
