Do Byul's Pov.

This couldn't be the end, could it?

That thought swirled through my mind as my body flew through the air colliding with the glass shelves behind the bar. Bottles fell, smashing around me, smoke engulfed the room. I could hear people screaming as my lungs fought for air as I lay still on the floor, my body refusing to move.

A figure crossed through the grey fog, stepping around the bar and crouched down beside me; my head felt heavy, and my eyes refused to focus as the heat and the smoke began to settle in on me.

I still managed to hear one thing before I lost consciousness though, "Let my precious daughter know this is my warning."

Kim Ri-Ya's Pov.

Do Kyung-Soo opened the door of the EXO Manor for Ma-Ra and me.

I'd seen him at his wedding to Byul, keeping a safe distance the whole time and leaving right after the ceremony. I'd never bothered to get close to him, there was no reason for me to.

He had A-Reum with him, shyly peeking out at us as she buried her face in his shoulder, her smile toothy and sweet. She was the spitting image of her father.

Kim Jun-Myeon had invited us to their manor to finish up signing the official alliance contract, I had agreed to come with Ma-Ra for only her safety and totally not because I wanted to intimidate the EXO members.

The inner circle members were sat in the living room, and most of them bowed as we came into the room.

Ma-Ra nodded, bowing back but I couldn't bring myself to show them any sign of respect or friendship; I blamed them for Yeo-Reom having to leave.

"Wait here while I talk to Suho. Try getting to know some of them, you may start to accept things if you do," Ma-Ra mumbled under her breath, stopping at the stairway.

I wanted to scoff but that would have been a show of disrespect to my leader and undermining the leader in front of another gang was a symbol of weak bonds, we could not show them any weaknesses. But I doubted I needed to say anything to her for her to know that I was angry.

Angry over the fact Yeo-Reom was being hunted all over again and EXO was the leading cause. Angry over the fact we got Yeo-Reom back and then sent her off on a plane to Guangzhou two weeks later. That was a raw and bleeding wound that hadn't even scabbed over yet and seeing the men responsible in person made it worse.

Ma-Ra headed upstairs with one of the members leading her and thus, I was left with staring at the EXO members and having them stare back.

The silence was thick with tension and awkwardness which was only broken by A-Reum's little giggles as Kyung-Soo fed her sweets, whispering something in her ear.

"Is your sister doing well?" The member that spoke was sitting at the head of the table, most likely more highly ranked than the others, and definitely older. His face reminded me somewhat of a hamster, his eyes sharp and his smile matching though I could tell he was trying to be welcoming.
