Park Chan-Yeol's Pov.

"So, in a nutshell...I had no idea Suho was going to come after you. I didn't even know you had met any of the other EXO members and I never intended for you to find out I'm in a gang," I concluded, dropping my hands into my lap dramatically.

Yeo-Reom's face remained blank as she sipped from the dainty China cup in her hands, she made no sign to acknowledging my long-stretched explanation aside from releasing a deep sigh and then scratching the back of her head, "When the fuck did everything become so complicated? All I wanted was Chinese food and fancy cars."

I snorted, leaning over to ruffle her hair and to my surprise, she let me, her eyes distant, "I don't know, ShortStuff but I am sorry, incredibly so."

Kim Yeo-Reom's Pov.

Chan-Yeol propped himself up a bit, digging into the back pocket of his jeans before throwing a set of keys onto the glass coffee table in front of me, his face expectant.

"What's this?" I asked carefully, picking up the keys with one finger.

He leaned back against the seat again, one arm draping over the back of it, a coy smirk growing on his face as he dragged a hand through his hair, veins flexing on his arm, "A gift. For nearly getting you killed and all."

I raised a brow, collecting the car keys, "You think you can buy my forgiveness with gifts?"

Chan-Yeol wiggled his eyebrows playfully, "Can't I?"

I kept my resolve up, forcing away the smile that was threatening to grow on my face, "These are your keys?"

Chan-Yeol nodded once to confirm, grinning widely, "Technically, your keys now I guess but yes, those were my car keys. I'm giving you my car as a gift; you always seemed to love riding in it anyway, and it'll mean you'll always have an excuse to think of me."

Slowly, a smile began to poke at my lips, and I shook my head playfully, "Suck up... but no take backs, you said it already." The keys weighed down in my jacket pocket slightly, the feeling sending a surge of adrenaline through my veins as I squinted at him carefully, "But seriously? Your car?"

"I already have a new car, the SUV didn't feel like mine anymore after you left," He told me simply, leaning forward on his knees, "Speaking of that, what even happened to you? You're with the Lotus now? That's cool, slightly scary, very attractive."

I snorted, leaning back in my seat as well, "Something like that I guess, it's confusing even to me."

Chan-Yeol raised a brow, unconvinced in the slightest, "If you tell me the truth, I'll buy you steamed buns."

I couldn't help but laugh, his bribery skills definitely didn't lack but his tactics were so comedic... and accurate.

He grinned at my reaction and propped both legs up on the side of his seat, "So? Deal?'

I wiped a small laughter tear from the corner of my eye, "Okay, okay. Steamed buns and stir-fried pork and I'll tell you."

"Okay! Deal. Now tell me," Chan-Yeol jumped out of his seat and plopping down next to me instead, his arm wrapping around my shoulders and coaxing me into placing my head down on his side.
