~Katies POV~

Hades, why did I just leave him like that. I mean yeah he said he would be fine, but somehow I didn't really believe it.

What if he got hurt, or worse? Or-or what if he does something stupid?

Aperantly Connor noticed that I was slightly freaking out.

"I know Travis he'll be fine as long as he doesn't try to pull something too stupid."

I scoffed, "Yeah that's reassuring." I said sarcastically. He paused.

"Katie, I see the way you look at him, I'm not that much of an idiot."

Damn it, did everyone have to know?

"I don't know what your talking about."

I tried my very best to contain the blush creeping onto my cheeks, but I think my face was still a shade of cherry red.

He just raised an eyebrow at me and said, "You sure?"

"Yes, totally sure now shut up!" I said quickly.

He chuckled.

"Shut up." I said again.

"I never said anything." He said defensively.

I just glared at him.

I will admit that for one second I wasn't thinking about how Travis could be dead, but of course that thought had to come rushing back into my head as soon as it left.

Then I saw him, well he was alive but he looked awful.

"Travis!" Connor and I yelled.

He looked confused.

"Travis over here!"

After what felt like forever he made his way over to us.

"Travis, you could have died!"

"I'm fine, could one of you give me some ambrosia, I think I lost some blood." He said.

I noticed that he had bruises on his wrist and arms, he also had a giant gash on his back that was dripping blood.

Holy Hades. Was all that I could think.

I was giving him a lecture on how he should be more careful and ask for help next time so that something like this didn't happen. He interrupted me and said,

"Guys I'm really fine, what we have to focus on now is how to get the staff back to dad."

"Your back is gushing blood and that's what your thinking right now?" Connor said.

"Yes, that is exactly what I'm thinking." He said, he sounded serious.

"We'll bandage your back, get you some ambrosia and nectar and then we'll focus on finishing this quest." I said.

For once Connor agreed with me instead of Travis.

We got Travis back in one piece (well mostly)

"You need some sleep." I said to him.

"No, we need to finish this quest."

"We can do that tomorrow." I said.

"The sooner we finish the better." He argued.

"Gods your so stubborn c'mon we'll find somewhere to stay and then tommorow morning we can figure out how to finish the quest."

This time he didn't argue with me.

We did find a place to stay and Travis fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

"You should get some sleep, I think you need it." Connor told me.

I was going to suggest that he should also get some sleep, but I was really tired so instead I said

"Okay I will, don't stay up too late."

After that I fell asleep right next to Travis.

~Time skip to the next morning~

I woke up by Travis, who was still asleep.

I can't wait to go back to camp! But we have to finish this stupid quest first, even though we didn't have a clue how.

Honestly I'm shocked that we made it this far just blindly wondering around to random places.

Even though this quest was purely luck, I was smiling that I was going to see my siblings again.

I didn't hear Travis wake up but he put his arm around me and asked, "Whatcha thinkin' about?"

"You don't need to know every thought that I have." I replied.

He smiled at me, a real genuine smile, not his smirk, it made me feel butterfly's in my stomach.

"Okay, sunshine."

"Do not call me that!" I wisper shouted
at him to avoid waking up Connor.

I really wanted to say something, I wanted him to be mine. I care about him, and I hate I care about him.

"T-Travis."

"Yeah?"

"I-I like you." I blurted out.

I suddenly wished that I could take it back, gods why did I say that. My face was definitely red, what if he didn't like me back, what did I do then?

But all my worries washed right away when he said, "I like you too Katie Kat."

Then I got up and kissed him, a real genuine kiss.

The kiss seemed like it lasted forever, my hands were in his hair and his hands were on my waist, pulling me closer to him.

When we were completely out of breath we pulled away.

He looked at me and smirked, what is he planning this time?

Well my question was answered, he suddenly flipped me over and started tickling me restlessly.

"Tr-Travis st-st-stop." I said laughing and out of breath.

"Okay." He said again, then pulled me in for yet another kiss.
