Thanks to the medicinal artifact and quite a lot of spiritual energy, Shen felt that the wound on his shoulder had practically healed. And the sun was already at its zenith, and no one came to it. Not that he was so eager to see Al or Muan after everything they said to him, but being inactive in the room was pretty boring too. The problem was that his outerwear was completely worn out. Shen, as a person who had never really traveled in a past life, was now lamenting that it was rather shortsighted of him not to take a spare set of clothes with him.

For a while he lay on the bed, pondering how to get out of this predicament. One could have asked Muan or Al to buy him clothes, but a) they still clearly were not going to see him in the near future, b) he did not want to ask them for anything. He could not ask for Annis, because she is a girl, and that would be reprehensible...

In the end, Shen freaked out and left the room, wrapping himself in bedding.

«In difficult circumstances, the most important thing is to remain calm!» he determined. Volchara became a little smaller and trailed after him, resembling an ordinary dog. Shen sailed majestically down the corridor, retaining the dark elegance inherent in his image of the Black Lotus Peak Lord, which he sometimes forgot, even when he was in a more appropriate (dressed) form.

Going down to the first floor, he received many startled looks and several broken plates, but on the whole was satisfied with the effect produced and called the owner over to him.

«And why is there no room dialing in these hotels?» he thought sadly. Aloud he said:

"I have a personal request for you."

"Yes, noble sir," the man nodded immediately.

"Send one of your employees to buy appropriate clothes for me. Mine is somewhat leaky."

"I understood!" The man gasped.

"My companions will pay the expenses."

"Yes, sir, of course, sir."

"Do it as soon as possible. I'll be waiting in my room."

He turned and began to climb the stairs, and the owner breathed a sigh of relief.

Already walking down the corridor of his floor, Shen ran into Muan, who was just leaving his room. Seeing his vestments, Muan, contrary to Shen's expectations, did not laugh like a horse, but simply asked:

"Do you need something?"

"Nothing that I can't take care of by myself."

Muan's eyes flashed in anger.

"That is why there is not a single person next to you who could call himself your friend."

"What?" Shen was taken aback.

"You don't appreciate someone else's concern. At all. What would you do if I didn't help you?"

Shen nearly twitched an eyebrow.

"You got up on the wrong side of the bed or what? To begin with, you were the one who didn't thank me for saving your ass from the Cold Flame Sect. Or did you especially help me when I prevented you from killing Volchara? Or are you about bandaging my shoulder? So I wouldn't have died without it. Thank you, of course, but you want to do me for this little thing because of this little thing? Which of us is even less sane?"

Muan was silent. Not finding what to say, he was about to leave, but Shen stepped in his way.

"No, wait! Today I am already fed up with the fact that you dare to run into me at all! This especially concerns you. Yes, you can already make a whole list of my weak points, but don't you dare use them against me! Thanks? Don't impose your help and then demand gratitude for it! What a substitution of concepts, eh? Or am I obliged to bow down to your feet because you showed leniency to the accursed lord? Is that the point? In what you consider to be the height of nobility, it's just polite to talk to me? And if you also help me - so in general you ascend to the infallible inhabitants of heaven on the stairs out of narcissism and pathos? You don't have to do me favors, as if someone needs your indulgence, and then demand from me that I appreciate your mercy and care!"
