Al Luar woke up because master Muan was mercilessly shaking him.

- Ah?.. What?.. – he sat near the well and didn’t understand at all what happened.

Muan got up from his haunches and looked into the dark mouth of a well again. Grimaced, he said emphatically:

- Elder Shen and the disciples were abducted. I suppose, that hides they all the same somewhere underground. I’ll go after them, but you - wait here.

- No! - Al Luar so determined to snap out, that Muan took aback.

- What «no»?

- I will go to rescue teacher too!

- That how it is? - Muan amazed.

Commendable dedication to such an unpleasant type as Shen. Himself he would go to save only disciples if not for the head league’s request to look after his little brother!  Damn it, the leader as knew that this Shen would find himself in trouble!

Teenager was looking in the master Muan’s face with the resoluteness of a young fighter. Raising the warriors at its peak of Glory Muan Gai respected it. Agreeing, he put the kid nearby him on the sword and they together descended in the well.

The creature Muan wounded was dying on the sidelines. Intercepting the sword in the right hand, he admonished the kid to stay behind him. Chap with a serious look drew a rusty training sword from its sheath.

Sewerage system under Poplar Town was not extensive, so that killing just a couple of rats and one seedy guardian monster Muan with the boy got to the catacombs. In the room into which the corridor led out the light was on. Not the first year living in this world Muan Gai concluded that this smugglers' den. And such persons never cause bouts of special mercy in him. Telling the lad not to get underfoot he entered within the line of light.

Al Luar did not have time to count to ten, but the people in the room were finished. The last master Muan decided to keep alive.

- Where elder Shen and children?! - he ferociously asked desperately fluttering in his hands man.

Al slowly entered in the blood-soaked room. Looking around a horrifying picture, he only thought that he wanted to be as strong. So strong that be capable of saving those who are dear to him!

- They… They are in the dungeon, there… - a man pointed to the door opposite to the one through which entered elder Muan and Al Luar.

- Why did you grab them? Who the fuck are you?!

- We… we...

The man in Muan’s hand wheezes, foam came out of his mouth, he rolled his eyes and dead.

- I didn’t kill him, - bewildered said Muan, turning to the lad. - Did he really take poison?

It looks like they weren't any smugglers after all!

Between the dungeon designated by that corpse and the room where Muan told him were a few more premises but all were almost empty. In the penultimate lurked two cultivators but these levels were incomparable with Muan’s level and they quickly died as cannon fodder.

Running the corridor, Muan and Al froze on the dungeon threshold just at the moment when Shen already started saying goodbye to life, praising the gods that it at least will be the prompt death. Exactly in this moment choking his man abruptly bounced back.

Actually he didn’t bounce but was thrown by Muan but Shen understood it little later.

- Help your comrades! - Muan said Al but himself picked up don't staying on their feet the elder of Cursed Peak.
