Two torches burned at the foot of the stairs, illuminating the deity's sanctuary room with a ragged orange glow. Muan sat in the immediate vicinity from the secret entrance in the cave, put the naked sword on knees and listened to every rustle.
He heard approaching footsteps, the man wasn't lurking down the stairs. Muan is calmly waiting for his appearances.
Lady E ran into the torchlight and, when she saw Muan she ran to him, waving her arms in excitement.
"My son! ", the woman exclaimed. "Is my son there? ", she looked at the gaping darkness of the aisle beyond his right shoulder. "Is he alive? "
"Calm down, madam..."
"Don't calm me down! I should go on! I need to see my boy! "
Muan doesn't have much of an idea how he can keep her for long. And does he have the right to do this. Sighing, he stepped aside to let her pass, and followed her into the darkness.
Lady's footsteps gradually slowed down. When she saw weak light at the end of the stairs, almost stopped. This allowed Muan to catch up with her. The woman slowly entered the cave. Lord of the Peak of Glory only now belatedly got that her husband's body was also lying there, about whose death she doesn't know yet.
He reached for her shoulder, wanting to hold her back. The woman spun around and held up her hand, palm out. Instantly, the aura of an ordinary person transformed into that of a caster. But the force of it was so swift that the realization was the only thing that Muan managed to do. The impact discarded him back, sending him flying several meters away and hitting the cave wall. The illustrious swordsman collapsed in a heap on the sand, releasing the immortal sword from his hand. Lady E smiled smugly. When she reached the unconscious Muan, she leaned over, grabbed him by the collar of his robes, and dragged him toward the black pool. A remarkable strength, uncharacteristic of the female gender, awoke in her.
As she passed her husband's body, Lady E gave him only a fleeting look of disdain. And then she threw Muan into the black pool.
Al shifted uneasily from one foot to the other, looking out into the swamp fog. It became less dense, but filled all the space around. Concern for the teacher struggled in Al with the obedience that had been drilled into him by years of study. On the other hand, if something happens to him, he will have no one to listen to!
Al almost made up his mide to do a step into the swamp, when he noticed a dark figure gradually emerging from the fog.
"Teacher?"
The figure didn't respond. She walked slowly, swaying from side to side like a doll on invisible strings.
"T... teacher?" Al felt a chill.
Shen finally came out of the fog, and the guy breathed a sigh of relief.
"Come on," the teacher said, looking him over. "We need to get back to the cave." The crows explained something to me.
"What do you mean?"
"I'm talking about the fragile ones.
Al understands nothing, but he doesn't dare ask.
The lack of Muana in the bathroom-the sanctuary of the deity alarmed Shen.
"Where is he?" Lord of the Cursed Peak muttered as he looked around.
Not finding the object he was looking for, he still decided not to dwell on the details and together with Al began to descend into the cave (just if not there, then where?).
The torches were still burning in the cave. Shen stepped onto the dark sand and looked around. A cloaked and hooded figure stood ominously in front of the black pool. Shen was not surprised to think that Mori had returned to finish what she had started. Beside her lay the body of the headman's son and his already stiffened corpse. Everything would have been within the expected range if Shen hadn't noticed another body lying on the ground, Muan.
