The Tiger Trail began on the eastern slope of Peak of Lurking Wind and went steeply downward, winding at the foot. This alone was fraught with dangers. But even more fears were caused by the fact that the path was limited by a barrier, inside which all sorts of monsters were driven. As a training ground for strong cultivators, that was a great place, but not for an underachiever like the main character!

Although Shen understood perfectly well that the main character could not die there, that did not reassure him, since, in fact, it was not the boy at all he was worried about, but his own fate after everything that he had already done to the kid! Why wasn't he reborn at least a year earlier?! When the main character stood out less among the less talented peers and less often attracted the attention of his evil teacher!

Upon reaching the start of the trail, Shen took a deep breath and calmly walked through the barrier.

As he had thought, the trail went down steeply. Thin trees hung like a tent, preventing the sun rays from reaching the ground. A great place to live for all sorts of nasty slimy beasts who loved darkness, moisture and dampness.

He had been going down the trail for quite some time, but still didn't see the main character. Well, of course! Why be reasonable and stay in the safest part of the tiger trail near the entrance, hoping that someone would come to your aid and let you back through the barrier? That was the main character! He just had to pretend to be proud and go straight to danger! Yes, that guy was even dumber than you might have thought reading the novel! He couldn't know that he was invulnerable because he was the main character. No, he threw himself into the face of danger just purely on principle!

Shen spat angrily on the ground. And now he will have to advance this piece of atrophied intellect along the plot!

For some time, the trail went through a bright part of the forest, with tall trees and green underbrush. It even became somehow easier to breathe. Shen was not surprised that no monster had crawled on him yet. In the end, he did not hide his aura of the main villain, and if the monsters are not completely lacking the instinct of self-preservation, they will not dare to poke their heads.

He would not even have noticed him if it were not for a huge tiger walking in circles under a tree. The tree was too thin and flexible, and the tiger himself could not climb on it. But the boy climbed up and grabbed the branch so tightly that his knuckles turned white. And, white-green with fear, with huge golden eyes he watched the tiger not-going-anywhere-about-his-business.

They had not noticed Shen yet, and he had a great opportunity to study the appearance of the main character. «And this is a fifteen year old teenager?!» He was so thin and frail that, without knowing, Shen would not have given him more than twelve. «He's not being fed here at all?»

What was remarkable about the young man's appearance was his fluffy blond hair with a golden tint. With these hair, he clearly stood out from the rest, even when he did nothing special, attracted the attention of the opposite gender, stirring up even more anger in the hearts of his fellow practitioners. Apparently, this was just the case when the author was once again too lazy to write down the rationale for why everyone hates the main character so much.

After watching and concluding that the hair was indeed remarkable, Shen moved forward and deliberately snapped a branch loudly. The tiger immediately turned to him and grinned. The boy in the tree looked up with hope, but as soon as he saw who was in front of him, his heart fell into the bottomless abyss of despair. He’s less afraid of this angry tiger!

As expected, after a moment, the tiger sped away from Shen's teacher. Al Luar watched the animal with a wistful look.

- Get down! - came the menacing voice of the man who Al feared the most.
