Al Luar followed Master Muan into the room. He gently lowered Shen onto the mattress and bent over him.
"Master Muan, you should immediately wash off the remnants of this black substance," Al reminded. "Don't worry, I'll take care of the teacher."
Muan turned to Al and grimaced. Despite all the drama of his experiences, the black goo into which he was immersed headlong, in some places it was already quite hot, which could not but distract. Therefore, he nodded sensibly and immediately left the room, intending to call the troublesome aunts to prepare a bath for him. (He was not yet too embarrassed that, thanks to their efforts, all the owners of the house who had hospitably offered them lodging were killed. In the end, they will not be able to protest.)
Al knelt down in front of Shen. In his head, as if imprinted on the cornea of his eyes, there was a picture of how Master Muan lifts his limp, insensitive body.
And along with the strange sensations that originated in the chest and did not want to clothe themselves in thoughts, the words they uttered were spinning in my head:
"Tell me, is it bad - to feel absolutely nothing after the murder? Forget about it... Maybe I killed someone else and forgot about it? Tell me Muan!"
"Forget it. Forget it again."
"You don't have to be evil to be a villain, right?"
«What does all of this mean? There is definitely something wrong with these words. Why did the teacher ask Master Muan as if he didn't know himself? And why did he so desperately ask him to forget? Not just forgetting, but "forgetting again"?»
Al stared at his pale, gaunt face. Taking out of his pocket a box of healing ointment given by Master Muan, he scooped up a little with his finger and began to carefully handle the scratches and abrasions of the teacher that still cover his beautiful face.
Whatever happens to this man, right now he is the one to whom Al is ready to swear unconditional devotion for the rest of his days. And if he himself is not able to take care of himself or for some reason does not value his life at all, then Al will take care of it and appreciate it.
As it often happened, Shen's awakening was accompanied by the accompaniment of System:
[+50 to the power of the main villain. +50 to villainous aura. 5/6 of the "Missions of the Meeting of Lords" storyline completed! The Achievement Fighter is unlocked. -50 points of the protagonist's morale. +20 to the willpower of the protagonist. -40 for the shown weakness of the main villain.]
Shen lay staring at the ceiling for a long time.
[-50 points of the protagonist's morale], reminded System. [Are you going to be indignant?]
Shen continued to stare at the ceiling, not responding to her words.
[5/6 tasks completed! You are happy?]
System did not wait for an answer and continued:
[You will be back home soon and be able to see user number one! That's good news!]
Shen closed his eyes wearily.
«I wish I could switch places with him,» he thought.
System was silent, puzzled.
When Muan entered the room, Shen had already got up and put himself in order, even slightly tweaked his clothes spoiled by the spruce. And the abrasions healed considerably. In general, I look much better than yesterday. Noticing the renowned swordsman's appearance, Shen looked into his face with interest, checking to see if the burns were gone. Apparently Muan sparing no effort was smeared with healing ointment - the burns were almost gone. It still looked bad enough, but given the rate of healing, chances are there won't be a trace in a couple of days.
