Chapter 13

Calum

It has been about a week since me and Violet kissed. I haven't seen her since then because she has school and I've been busy with band practice. Things with me and Luke are alright. He understood what happened and forgave me. I'm so grateful to have a friend like him. We would be performing at our gig this Saturday. I hope Violet can make it.

We've already decided our setlist, so now all we have to do is practice really hard. We're going to play Heartbreak Girl, Beside you, Try Hard and a cover of Teenage Dirtbag.

According to Ashton, there would be loads of people there so we're going to try and make a great impression.

Since today is a Friday, we would have to give it all out in our practices. Once we were done practising, we went up to Ashton's room and decided to play Xbox. He got out 2 controllers passed it out. Luke and Michael took a controller each. Ashton put on FIFA and left it there for the boys to play. He never used to play until we influenced him.

"So are you guys ready for tomorrow?" Luke asked us as he waited for the game to load.

"To be honest, nope." Ashton said.

If i were to be honest to myself,I agree with Ashton.

I turned to him and asked, "How many people would be there? Like a number."

Ashton thought for awhile and then finally said, "I don't know. About 300 or so."

I heard Michael curse and I couldn't help but chuckle to myself. The game started and Luke and Michael were glued to the TV. But eventho they're eyes were there, they were still listening to us.

"Well guys, I guess there's nothing much we can do. We've been practising really hard and we can only do our best up on stage. If people don't like us, then they suck," I said to them.

"But it would be cool if they did like us. I mean if they liked us then they would spread it around. Soon we would become famous," Michael said.

I sighed. That's true.

"Guys. Let's just not think about it okay? We'll do our best tomorrow and see how it goes." Ashton said. We all nodded and watched Luke and Michael play.

Violet

Its Saturday now. Which means it would be the boy's gig. I hope they play well. According to Calum, things with Luke and him are alright now. I'm still pissed with my brother for all the bullshit he said but he's going to pay for it one day. I do talk to him and stuff like normal but he'll pay for it. Trust me.

I didn't have to go to Zayn's house this week because according to him, he's busy. I didn't mind much tho.

It was getting late. So I decided to get ready for the boy's show. I took a shower and dried my hair. I decided to let it go since I was lazy to tie it. I wore a black tank top which read, 'Make It Happen'. I wore a pair of white jeans to match with that.

Eliot said he wanted to come along to watch the boys. I didn't mind much about that. I mean after all, he is my brother. Once I was ready, I went down to see Eliot also ready, wearing a pair of faded blue jeans and a plain white shirt.

My phone vibrated and I got a text from Calum.

Calum: About to go on in about 20 minutes. Are you coming?

Violet: Alright. I'm on my way.

"Eliot. We gotta go. They're on in 20 minutes."

Eliot nodded and got up. He took his keys and drove to the place where their gig was held. I had to admit, it was really really crowded. I knew I probably wouldn't be able to go see Calum and the boys before they perform so I guess I'll just see them later. I took out my phone and decided to text Calum and let him know I'm here.

Violet: Hey Cal, I'm here already. Good luck. Have fun on stage okay? Tell the boys too xx

Calum: Alright, Violet. We'll try :) xx

I put my phone away and waited fro them to come on stage. "Next up, we would like to bring up this punk-rock band called, 5 Seconds Of Summer."

People clapped as the boys got on stage. Luke was in the middle between Calum and Michael. They all looked really nervous. "Hey guys. We're 5 Seconds of Summer," Luke said. "Thank you for being here tonight, we hope you enoy our music," Michael said. Before I knew it, they boy started playing. Luke started off the song.

She's dropping out of school cause she don't need the grades,

Colours in her hair, don't seem to fade,

I get dressed up when I go out, but she get's dressed down.

And so went on the song. They sang a few other songs like Beside you, Heartbreak Girl and a cover of Teenage Dirtbag. Once they were done, the whole crowd cheeered for them loudly. I heard Eliot tell me over the screams, "They're pretty good."

I smiled to myself because I know they are. After the boys went off stage, me and Eliot tried to go backstage. This place had really bad security so I wasn't that hard. The first person I was Luke so I ran up to him and hugged him. He was kind of shicked but eventually hugged me back. "You guys were amazing on stage!" I said to him. He smiled down at me and thanked me. Soon all the boys saw me and came over. It was then when I realized they were all sweating and disgusting. "Guys! You were amazing! Everyone loved you!" I told them, trying to ignore the fact they were sweating.

"Aw! Thanks Violet! Group hug!" Michael shouted and all the boys huddled together, me being in the middle. I was completely disgusted right now.

"GUYS! GET OFF ME. YOU STINK!" I shouted at them. They all laughed and eventually let go of me. I went over to talk to Calum while all the other boys were talking with Eliot. "So what do you think of our show?" Calum asked me as he wiped his sweat off using a towel.

"It was great. It really was," I said to him.

Calum smiled and asked, "Can I get a kiss for being amazing on stage?"

I felt my cheeks turn a light shade of pink. "Nope. I'm not going to kiss you when you stink like that. Maybe after a shower," I told Calum.

Calum pouted at me which made me chuckle.

"Fine. But can you stay over at my place?" Calum asked.

I nodded and said, " I don't see why not."
