I sat on the sofa, cuddling Calum as we watched Night at the Museum. We had a blanket draped over us and we both laid on the couch. Calum decided to come over to and stay the night after his amazing show. The boys were fine with it and they didn’t really mind, which I am grateful for. It was past midnight but I didn’t mind being up with Calum. I snuggled up to his body as his grip around me got tighter.

I could feel his breathing going steady and it felt amazingly calm. I heard small snores escaping Calum’s lip which caused me to turn around and look at him. His eyes were shut closed and he looked so peaceful. I guess he’s tired from all the practising and also his performance today. I didn’t want to wake him so I reached for the remote and turned off the television and soon fell asleep with Calum’s arms wrapped around me.

My eyes fluttered open to meet another pair of familiar brown ones. His brown pupils stared into my green ones. His lips slowly curved up into a smile till he finally said, “Good morning.”

I smiled at him and said, “Your breath stink.”

Calum laughed and smashed his lips against mine. I obviously kissed him back then eventually pulled away. “We need to get up and do something productive,” I whispered to Calum. I untangled myself from him and got up. Eventually Calum got up too. “You know, we could probably just stay here and cuddle,” Calum said as he walked towards the bathroom. I just rolled my eyes at him at I tied my hair into a messy bun. Suddenly, my phone went off and I was getting a call from an unknown number. I don’t know who this is but it might be an emergency so I clicked the green button.

“Hello?” I answered.

“Violet?” said the other person on the other line. The voice sounded familiar. Quite too familiar.

“Yeah? Who is this?” I questioned.

The person on the other line sounded hesitant then answered.

“Zayn.”

Of course its him.

“What do you want?” I asked Zayn. I’ve realized that I’ve become extremely rude to Zayn.

Zayn took a deep breath then answered.

“Look, I’m sorry about yesterday, okay? I know it was way out of my league to hit you. We have to get our English work done by Monday. Plus, since we didn’t do any progress yesterday, we probably need to ask Miss for an extension.”

Even though I’m extremely pissed at Zayn, I knew he had a point. I would have to go over to his place eventually.

“If we ask for an extension, that would mean that we would get marks cut off. I know you don’t care about your grades but I do. Can’t I just come over now and get everything done?” I asked Zayn.

“Um, yeah sure,” Zayn seemed to be confused. I guess its cause he didn’t think I would’ve agreed that fast.

“I’ll see you in half an hour,” I said as I ended the call. Just as I did Calum walked out of the bathroom. “Who was that?”

Great. Now I’d have to explain to Calum about everything. Just great.

I drove up to Zayn’s driveway and parked my car. Calum hadn’t been so keen on the idea of me coming over to Zayn’s house to work on a project but eventually he gave in. I didn’t exactly tell him everything. I obviously excluded the part where he came home drunk and slapped me across the face.
