Chapter 4

Violet

Calum drove in silence till we came to a house. It wasn't much smaller compared to mine nor was it bigger. It was just about the right size. I guess this would be Calum's house. Calum finally spoke when he told me to go in with him. So I did.

I followed him into the house. It was kind of dirty but not as bad as I expected. "Sorry its kind of messy. Me and my friend, you know the red haired one, yea. We live together. So yea."

I just nodded and followed him into the kitchen. "Sit on the counter," he instructed. And so I did. He took out a first aid kid and laid it on the counter. "Are those the guys who bully you? Are they the ones who made you do what you did the other day?" He asked.

I just stayed silent. "Violet. Answer me." I just nodded my head. Calum asked me more questions. "How long has this been going?" I shrugged my shoulder in response. He took out a small cotton and dabbed it on my lips. I whined a little and he looked at me. "Does it hurt?" He asked. I nodded.

"It will but I can't just leave it like that," he said and continued with what he was doing. Once he was done with my lips he asked if I was hurt anywhere else. I told him I'm not.

"Are you sure Violet?" He asked.

I nodded and got off the counter. I stood there, feeling kind of awkward. "So I guess I should be going home right now? Thanks Calum," I said as I was walking out. I felt a strong grip on my arm and my body being pulled back. "Can't you stay a little while longer?" He asked.

"I guess I could. But if we're going to talk about what happened just now then I would rather go home."

"Nope. I promise we won't. We'll do something else, okay?" Calum asked. I smiled lightly and nodded.

We walked up the stairs and into his room. There were lots of guitars around the place. I guess either him or Michael plays. "So um, that Luke guy, was he your friend or something?"

"Oh him? Nope he's just some random stranger I met and I just guessed his name because I'm cool like that," Calum said, sounding serious. His tone might have been serious, but his eyes was filled with amusement.

I chuckled and rolled my eyes at him. He laughed and said, "Yea. He is a friend. His name is Luke. Luke Robert Hemmings. We're in a band actually."

This kind of came out like a shock. "Really?"

"Yeap. Me, Michael, Luke and another friend of ours, Ashton."

Well I should have guess, I mean the number of guitars here.

"Cool. So I guess you play the guitar or something."

He nodded and said, "Yea, I play bass. Michael and Luke plays the main guitars and Ash plays the drums. Luke usually sings the most but we have solos too."

I nodded at Calum's explanation. Luke was kind of different compared to Calum and Michael. He didn't have tattoos but he did have piercings. I wonder how Ashton looked.

"Maybe you could watch us practice someday?" Calum suggested.

"Really?" I asked, my lips forming a smile.

Calum smiled back and nodded.

"I would actually like that Calum." I said to him.

"Alright. We'll plan it out and I'll let you know." I nodded at him.

"So Violet, tell me something about yourself." Calum said as he got comfortable on his bed. He patted a spot for me to sit next to him and so I did.

"Well.... my parents are always working overseas. You know business and stuff. I have an elder brother. His name is Eliot Brown. And he's in uni now. So now I'm usually alone at home with my maid only."

He listened carefully and nodded. "Don't you get lonely? I mean I saw your house the other day," Calum asked.

"I do. But its not like I have a huge number of friends or anything so yea," I said chuckling to myself.

Calum frowned and said, "Hey. I'm your friend now. And I promise you the other boys would be your friend too."

I smiled at him and said, "Well thank you, Calum. I'll make sure to invite you and the other boys over so we can play princess and stuff."

He laughed and said, "Of Course. I would love that."

I just rolled my eyes at him. "So what about you? I mean like your family?"

"Oh. My parents are all here. I have an elder sister, her name's Mali Koa Hood. I just moved in with Michael because it would be easier for practice and stuff."

I nodded and the night went on like this. Asking each other questions and getting to know each other. I had to admit, I was starting to like Calum as a friend.
