Violet
After Calum left I decided to leave my room and get something healthy to eat since all I've eaten today was various bags of chips.
I made my way downstairs, hoping not to bump into any of my family members. But of course, luck is never on my side."Violet," my mother greeted as she peeled her eyes from the television.
"Mother," I greeted her back. I would usually call her mama but ever since what happened she doesn't even feel like a mother to me. She's just someone I'm forced to respect and call mother.
"You've been in your room for quite sometime."
"Yeah. So?"
"You could probably come down and talk to us," she suggested.
"Nope. I would rather say upstairs in my room." I know I'm being a little harsh to my mother but I can't help it. Its not my fault anyway. She started this whole fued with me. She literally called me an 'irresponsible animal' when all I did was skip detention ONCE.
"Oh," I heard my mother say, her voice laced with a tiny bit of disappointment.
I chose to ignore it and continue making my way towards the kitchen. I made myself a bowl of fruit salad and brought it with me upstairs to my room.
I closed the door behind me and looked around the room. I didn't feel like watching the movie without Calum and well there was nothing much to do. Calum still hasn't texted me about what happened but I hope he's safe. I felt like climbing up to the roof since there's nothing else to do. Plus the weather was just amazing.
Once I was done with my bowl of food, I placed it on a table beside me and that's when my eyes fell on my familar friend. My only friend who has been there for me. My friend who I have forgotten and left aside.
My blade.
I picked up the silver metal and held it tightly as I examined it. It has been a long time, my friend.
I'm pretty sure I have scars all over my body from what I have done to myself. But trust me, I have no regrets.I stuffed the blade into my pants as I made my way towards the door. I made sure it was locked and grabbed my phone and earphones as made my way towards the window. I opened it softly, making sure no one would hear me and I placed my foot outside the window.
Within seconds, I was already on the roof, looking up at the sky as music blasted in my ears. The sky looked amazing. It might be dark but the stars and the moon blended in so well to make the whole sky look beautiful. I could lay up here for years and I would never get bored.
From the corner of my eye, I could see the tree moving and that kind of freaked me out. I sat up and saw Eliot trying to sneak out his window too. Im pretty sure its almost midnight now so that's why he's sneaking out. "Be careful, Eliot," I said as I smirked at him.
Eliot lost his footing for a second but regained his balance. His head snapped up at me as his hand went to his chest. "Jesus, Violet. I thought you were mom." I couldn't help but laugh at him. "Yeah. Your reaction was priceless."
Eliot rolled his eyes and joined me on the roof. "So everything alright, lil sis?" He asked as he finally settled down. "Yeah. Why?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "You usually come up here when you're sad or depressed."
I smiled at him and shook my head. "I'm fine, Eliot. Thanks for asking. Also, thanks for skipping college to stay here with me and making sure everything is alright. You'll probably have to retake this year which would mean you'll be a year behind your friends."
"Yeah but family comes first," Eliot said, shurgging it off as if it was no big deal. I thanked him once again and hugged him.
"Now, weren't you supposed to go somewhere?" I asked. He smiled and nodded his head. He made his way back to the tree and he was soon on the ground. He waved at me before he left to wherever he planned on going.
I sighed as I laid back down on the roof. It was midnight and I still hadn't got a text from Calum yet. It was getting cold and I know I should probably head inside but I felt extremely comfortable out here and I didn't feel like going inside so I decided to stay out here a little bit longer.
10 minutes later, my phone vibrated and Calum's name appeared on the screen. He sent me a text and I decided to open it.
Cal Pal : Hey, beautiful. Sorry it took me long to message you. We're all just in shock. Something big happened but its not bad news. Long story short, this guy named Alex works in the music industry and he's wiling to take us under his wings and help us find a record label and stuff. We don't know if we should do it xx.
Someone is actually offering the boys a job in the music industry?! This is amazing
Violet: Babe, go for it! All four of you are really talented and I'm sure you can make it big! Give it a shot at least. This chance doesn't come always xx
But then it hit me. If Calum does get a job in the music industry and if the band goes big, they would have to move away. Go on tour and stuff. Calum would have to leave me and travel the world.
We'd have to be in a long distance relationship. But can we handle that? I do want the boys to live their dreams but I am going to miss Calum a lot.
All four boys are really good looking lads and once they're out in the open, girls are going to be throwing themselves at them.
What if Calum finds someone prettier than me? Or someone funnier? Someone less depressed? What if he finds someone who can make him happy? Am I ready to let him go? Hell no I'm not. Is Calum going to let me go?
NOTE// Sorry for such a short chapter. My laptop isn't with me which means I have to update with my phone. Sorry if this is a shitty chapter. Vote and comment xx
