Chapter 12

Violet

It was a saturday so I decided to sleep in and get up at noon. I got up and took a shower. I changed into a pair of sweatpants and a tank top. I went downstairs only to find Eliot watching television. "Hey," I greeted him. He turned to the back and smiled at me. I went over to him and sat beside him. "Want anything for lunch?" he asked me. "Yea. Sure. Anything is fine," I said to him.

Eliot nodded and got up. He walked over to the kitchen to ask Rosie to prepare us something. I decided to change the channel to MTV. 'Centuries' by Fall Out Boy started playing. I really liked their music so I turned it up. Eliot came back and sat on the couch. "So, Violet. I have to talk to about something."

Oh god. 

I turned to him and said, "Yea?"

"Its about the boys," he said. 

"Okay?" I said, scrunching my eyebrows. 

"I really like them. But its just one thing," he said. Why is he taking so long to tell me this? 

I rolled my eyes and said, " Spit it, Eliot." I was obviously annoyed right now. 

He sighed and said, "Look Vi, they're great boys and stuff but its just, don't fall for them okay? They may seem really nice but you can't be really sure."

Is Eliot being serious now? He can't be. I looked at him and said, "Eliot. You're kidding me. They were the ones to help me when I was bullied okay."

Eliot looked kind of annoyed now as he said, "Violet, I get it. But they might have done that just so you would open up to them. You don't know what they're up to."

I was becoming furious now. "Same goes to you, Eliot!" I shouted at him. "You don't know what they're up to also. Maybe they're just being nice people okay? Maybe they honestly care about me."

"Or maybe they just want your virginity! I know people like these Violet! I know alot about them!" Eliot shouted. 

I was completely bewildered at what was happening now. I scoffed at Eliot and said, "Of course you know about guys like this, Eliot. You were one of em. Don't act like you didn't go around sleeping with girls when you were they're age!"

Eliot got up and said, "Well I changed Violet! I'm a different person now!" 

Tearms brimmed at my eyes. Just when I thought life was great, this happens? 

"You're an asshole, Eliot," I said as my voice cracked. 

Eliot didn't show me mercy and went on, "You know who's an asshole? Luke. I know he likes you Violet!" 

Fuck everything right now. 

Calum

It has been sometime since I saw Violet. So I decided to drive over to her place. It was a Saturday and I'm pretty sure she would be home with Eliot. I drove there and parked my car outside. I heard shouts but I wasn't quite sure what they were saying. It sounded like Eliot and Violet. I walked to the house quickly but stopped in my tracks when I heard something. 

"Luke. I know he likes you, Violet!" Eliot shouted. What? I didn't hear Violet say anything back. I heard Eliot continue what he was saying, "And it's obvious you like him too! I think everyone would know that." 

I didn't want to hear more of this bullshit so I walked away and got into my car. Anger was boiling up inside of me. Fuck this. Fuck Eliot. Fuck Luke. Fuck Violet. Dammit. Luke knew I liked Violet. Why would he do this? I dialed up Luke and told him to meet me at my place. I drove home as fast as I could. 

When I got there, Luke's car was already parked. I got out and barged into the house. "Hey man. You okay?' Luke asked as he walked over to me. I grabbed his shirt and pushed him agaisnt the wall. "Why didn't you tell me?" I growled at him. Michael came rushing him, shocked at what he was seeing. "Calum, calm down. What's happening?" Michael asked. "This bastard did something," I said as I pushed Luke futher up the wall. Michael came and grabbed me away from Luke. "What did I do?" Luke shouted. Oh Luke, you have no idea. 

Violet

 "And it's obvious you like him too! I think everyone would know that."  I heard a car door slam close. I quickly rushed over to my window to look at who it was. It was Calum. Don't tell me he heard everything. Don't tell me he actually believes what Eliot said. I turned to Eliot with tears streaming down my face and said, "I fucking hate you." With that I took his car keys and left. I hated it whenever me and Eliot were to argue. One thing about us is that we're short tempered. So once we start a fight, Its like world war 3. But we would be fine after a bit. But right now, I had to be away from Eliot and check if Calum was fine. I drove to Calum house as fast as I could. I parked my car and got out. There was another car here. I heard shouts inside. I quickly went in and saw something horrible. Calum was punching Luke on the face and Luke didn't even try to do anything. Michael was trying his best to pull Calum away from Luke. Michael looked at me, asking me for help. 

I quickly went over to Calum and said, "Calum stop please."

He didn't hear me and continued punching Luke. The tears on my face were flowing reall fast. Ashton came in out of a sudden and immideatly pulled Calum away. Calum tried to push Ashton away but soon Michael also joined and held Calum back.

I rushed over to Luke and found him bleeding. "Luke are you okay?" I asked him.

He just nodded but didn't say anything. "Of course she would go to her boyfriend," I heard Calum say from the back.

"I'm not her fucking boyfriend!" Luke said.

Calum tried to wrestle out of Ashton's and Michael's grip. I coudln't take this anymore. "Stop!" I shouted at Calum.

He stopped moving and looked at me, completely shocked by my sudden outburst. All the boys were actually. I sighed and said, "Calum. Can I speak to you? Alone? Michael and Ashton, go handle Luke." Ashton and Michael nodded and took Luke away. I walked up the stairs to Calum's room as he followed.

He entered the room after me and closed the door. "What happened?" I asked him. He decided not to answer me and just ignore me. I rubbed my temples and said, "Calum. I asked you a question."

Calum turned to me, anger filled his eyes as he said, "Don't fucking act, Violet."

"You heard what Eliot said?"

Calum rolled his eyes and said, "Yea. I mean how could I have been so stupid? It was obvious you had feelings for Luke. Same goes to him."

I sighed and said, "That's not true."

"Don't you dare lie to me Violet! I know what I heard! I know its true!" Calum shouted at me.

Tears pooled at the bottom of my eyes. Last person I expected to do this to me was Calum. "Why the fuck do you think I like Luke? Just cause of what Eilot said? I like you Calum! I fucking like you! Why can't you see that?!" I shouted at him as tears streamed down my face.

Calum's eyes soften when he saw me crying. "Shit," he said and walked ovet to me. He pulled me into a hug and held me. I didn't even try to push him away. I just cried in his arms. "Violet, I'm really sorry. I don't know what I was thinking. I'm sorry," Calum apologized.

I sniffed and mumbled a little "Its okay."

I pulled away from him and looked up at him. "Do you really like me?" Calum asked.

I nodded and I felt a tint of blush on my cheeks. "Well that's good, because I really like you too," Calum whispered.

He leaned into me and I could smell his breath. It smelled like mint. My eyes fluttered close as our lips were inches away from each other. I could feel fireworks exploding inside of me when our lips finally met. Everything just stopped. I forgot about completely everything other than the fact I was kissing Calum.

The kiss ended quickly as Calum pulled away and said, "I don't ever want to lose you like that, Violet."

"You didn't lose me."
