Chapter Twenty-Five
“Hey, someone’s looking happy,” teased Sofia.
I beamed back. “You would not guess w-w-what!”
And no, I didn’t stammer. I purposely said the ‘w’ 3 times.
Sofia reached over to the fruit bowl, and popped a cherry in her mouth. “W-W-What is it?”
I grinned. “Troy and I made up-and we’re girlfriend and boyfriend!”
Sofia bit her lip. ‘Um, now...isn’t that nice?”
My face fell. “You don’t seem happy.”
Sofia plastered on a hugely fake smile. “No, I’m happy for you!”
I tried to hide my disappointment. “Why are you so unhappy for me?”
Sofia sighed, flicking a loose strand of hair away from her eyes. “No, it’s not that...ugh...it’s just that, well, I don’t really trust him yet. That guy totally broke your heart!”
I frowned. “Yeah I know...he said it was just because he was shocked he was falling for me, as we hated each other at first.”
Sofia nodded. “Oh, right, well...okay.”
“So, you’re happy for me?” I checked.
Sofia chuckled, plucking a grape from the bowl. “Yep. Hey, we could uh...go on a double date!”
I wrinkled my nose. ‘Um yeah...that might work...”
Sofia shook her head. “It won’t.”
I half-smiled. “You read my mind.”

“What should I wear?” I yelled, frustrated.
Harmony rolled her eyes. “Calm down, we’ll eventually find something.”
“Yeah,” Audrey chipped in. “You got really amazing clothes, Ade!”
Harmony displayed a puffy-at-the-bottom purple dress. “You like?”
“I hate,” I answered, screwing up my face into a disgusted look.
Audrey held up a long elegant black dress which was longer at the back. “Oooh, mysterious!”
I shook my head. “Too dark.”
Harmony’s eyes lit up. “What about this?”
She held up a dress with a white top bit (that was cut off on the other shoulder), and a yellow bottom.
I chewed my lip. “Ummmmm, I don’t think so. Too...I don’t know. Just doesn’t seem right.”
“No, no, no, no!” cried Audrey, holding up a black belt. “It’ll look great with this belt!”
I wrinkled my nose. “Sorry guys but-
“No wait, we’ll give you a full makeover, and let you see what you think,” Harmony cut in. “If you don’t like it, then we’ll choose another dress. Got it?”
I sighed. “Whatever.”
So, I got into the dress and belt, and was given black strappy heels.
Then they did my hair and makeup, popping on a few black bracelets and giving me a black purse that I never knew I had.
Finally, I was done.
“Okay, look in the mirror,” Harmony said.
I reluctantly swirled around to face the mirror. I gaped at my reflection.
Wow...I actually looked good.
“See!” Audrey crowed, triumphantly. “We told you so.”
I pulled them into a three-way hug. “Thanks guys.”
Ding Dong!
“OMG, he’s early!” I squeaked.
“Good luck!” both of them chorused, before pushing me out of my room, down the stairs, and to Troy.
Let the date begin.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.
Meh, I know its short-but at least I did it quickly!
So, what do you think the date's going to be like?
By the way, I've planned it all out already, and it is definitely NOT cliche, I can assure you :)
