Chapter Eleven

The next day, I trudged into school, not feeling well at all. Sofia hurried over to me.

“Hey, you look awful,” she chirped, cheerfully.

I gave her a look. “Thanks.”

She rolled her eyes. “Girls bathroom, now.”

She dragged me to the bathroom, locked the door, and then pulled out her purse of makeup. Then she worked her magic on me.

When I glanced in the mirror, I smiled. She really should become a makeup and clothes artist when she when she was grown up.

She’d manage to make my hair all shiny and bouncy, put the right amount of makeup on and combed my hair through.

“Thanks Sof, you are the best,” I told her, hopping off the counter.

Sofia held up a hand. “I know, I try not to show it.”

I rolled my eyes, and poked my tongue out at her. Then I walked through the doors out.

I walked up to my locker, and chanted my combination while I dialled it.

“Hey sweetheart,’ came a familiar masculine voice beside me.

I refused to turn to face Troy. I flung open my locker, and tried to push the door with more force-so it could hit him in the face. Unfortunately, he stepped back at the right time.

I scowled. Troy burst into laughter.

“Hahahaha, look at your sore loser face,” Troy snickered. “Anyway, I know you want another kiss from me.”

My face burned at the memory. My first kiss with Troy. Ugh.

“Go away Troy,” I snapped. “I hate you, you hate me, and I think we should stay away from each other.”

Troy put on a dreamy expression on. “But I can’t stay away from you. I just can’t!”

“Shut up drama queen, wouldn’t you rather be sucking some girl’s face off?” I commented, slamming my locker shut.

Troy raised an eyebrow. “You want that girl to be you-right?’

My anger had been building up-and I just exploded. “NO I DON’T! OKAY? I DO NOT! I NEVER WANT TO KISS YOU AGAIN TROY KRUGER! THAT WAS MISTAKE! WHY WOULD I WANT TO KISS SOME FOUL, REVOLTING, MEAN, SELF-CENTERED JERK LIKE YOU? GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME BECAUSE YOU TRULY ANNOY ME AND I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOUR ANNOYING FACE AGAIN!”

I stormed out of the corridor, leaving him speechless at my locker.

After school, I decided to walk home. I couldn’t be bothered hitching a ride- it was too much of a bother.

“HEY!”

I spun around-to face none other than Troy Kruger. I gritted my teeth. Didn’t this kid get it? I wanted him to leave me ALONE.

“Stay away, Kruger,” I snarled, quickening my pace.

“I just wanted to tell you I’m sorry!” yelled Troy.
