Valentine's Day Chocolate {Elliot x Reader}

It was February 14th, Valentine's Day. Snow covered the ground outside your bedroom window, slowly melting away by the bright morning sun. The sky was a shade of pink which made you beam with delight in this fine morning as you jumped out of bed and showered, before dressing in the outfit you had laid out for today. It was a pink silky dress with lots of frills and a lace collar. You were too in a hurry to find the right jewelry for the outfit since you are too indecisive, but you did tie your hair up into low pigtails with the pink ribbon that laid upon your dresser. You spun in front of the mirror with a grin plastered on your face.

"Perfect!" You said to yourself before grabbing your bag and quickly heading out the door.

The reason you were all dressed up today is simple, you had a date with your crush, Elliot. Your both had been best friends for as long as you could remember, but even though you were only just friends, you had the biggest crush on him, and you knew he had one on you too. You both were just too scared to admit it...but today you planned on changing that.
You weren't supposed to meet him for another hour, but you still wanted to head out early and pick up a little something for him. You had seen the bakery nearby was advertising their special strawberry chocolate all week, but it was limited edition for Valentine's Day only, first come first serve, so you were in a hurry to pick some up!

When walking into the small bakery, you could already smell the scent of strawberries and chocolate. The display case was filled with frosted pink cakes in the shape of hearts, some even had cherries on top. There were frosted cookies and cookies with sprinkles. There were cupcakes, brownies, and exactly what you were looking for, chocolate squares with strawberry filling. Something that was simple but tasty. You didn't want anything to crazy to give to a boy who could easily be scared off by too much affection. He laughed to yourself at the thought of a flustered Elliot, which made you all the more excited to see him.

After paying for the chocolates, you walked out of the shop with your brown paper bag tied up with heart ribbon in the shape of a bow. The cafe you and Elliot were going to meet up at was just a block away, so you decided to grab a table for the both of you early and just wait for the tsundere boy to arrive, but to your surprise as you entered the cafe a few minutes later, Elliot was already their waiting. He didn't seem to notice you as he kept his head down fidgeting with his shaking hands. You could feel your heart beat quickening as butterflies filled your tummy at the sight of the boy. So madly in love you are...

Taking a seat in the red velvet chair across from him, he jumped at your presence as he wasn't expecting you so soon. He thought he had more time. More time to prepare what he was going to say to you. More time to calm his beating heart he was sure you could hear from where you sat about two feet away. More time to gather the courage to give you a present he has held onto for so long, waiting for the perfect moment to gift it to you, without seeming like the lovesick boy he was. He tried not to show, even though it was painfully obvious to everyone around you two that Elliot was head over heels for you. No, like literally, he trips over air every time he walks next to you and maybe your hands brush together for a quick second before he pulls away almost falls before you, his best friend, his princess, his everything.

"Elliot?" You waved your hand in front of his face to catch his attention.

The boy had hearts in his eyes as he drank in the sight of you. Your blushing cheeks and your cute pig tails with the dress he once helped you pick out when you drug him around shopping the other month, not that he minded of course, because every second spent with you was heaven to him.

"O-oh, uhm..sorry.." his voice drifted off as his eyes quickly looked anywhere but at you, afraid to lose all train of thought once again. He had to keep it together, just until he could give you your present.
