You laid in bed wrapped in your favorite {f/c} fuzzy blanket as you gazed outside. The ground was covered in beautiful glistening snow as the wind howled outside. Just hearing the wind made you shiver in your blankets.
"Are you planning on laying in bed all day, {y/n}-chan~" Break said from your door way.
"Yes, it's too cold out and I don't feel like being exposed to the air." You said as you tightened your grip on your blankets, making sure they were wrapped securely around you.
"Suit yourself, my dear. If you don't mind I hate seeing your delicious breakfast go to waste, so I guess I'll help myself to Gilbert's oh so amazing pancakes!" He teased making you jump up from your cozy shelter and race down to the dinning table. You could never pass up any of Gilbert's scrumptious food.
Sitting down at the table you saw the pancakes were already prepared out for you on a plate, as everyone else had already ate and left you alone at the table.
"So, you finally decided to get out of bed, huh?" Came the raven haired mans voice. Gilbert took a seat across from you at the table.
"I could never skip out on one of your breakfasts!" You said before shoveling a whole bite of pancake into your mouth. Every bite was like a piece of heaven as the warm butter melted in your mouth, mixing with the maple syrup and your favorite, whip cream.
Gilbert smiled as his face tinted with a light shade of pink. You knew how hard Gilbert worked everyday, with taking care of Oz, Alice, Break, Sharon, and even you. You felt bad that he never went out and did anything fun. He never really had a normal childhood were he could do everything a normal kid would do. You bet he probably never even had a snowball fight or ever even built a snowman!
Even though you hated the thought of going out in that terribly cold weather, you knew you had to give Gilbert a great memory to look back on.
"Hey, Gilbert?" You asked as you took the last bite of your savory pancakes.
"Yes, {y/n}?" He answered.
"Considering it only snows once a year, and you never seem to do anything but work, why don't we go out and build a snow man or something together?"
Gilbert looked shock by your words but his face lit up and you could tell he really wanted to, but he seemed to try and hide that fact.
"That's okay, {y/n}. It's really cold out and I don't want you to freeze out there. Besides, I should probably do the dishes and make the beds." He said getting ready to get up and get back to work.
You quickly caught his arm and looked up and him straight in the eye and said, "yeah, it may be cold, but like I said, it only snows once a year and you deserve to have some fun!" You said dragging him away to get changed into something warm, leaving him no option but to obey.
"It's cold." He said hugging his arms across his chest.
You both had barley even been out there for even a minute, but you were freezing as well, but there was nothing getting in the way of making a memory with Gil.
As Gilbert stood there shivering you smirked and bent down packing snow into your hands. You rolled it into a ball and aim, striking Gilbert in the arm.
"Whaaa!" He yelled in shock as you bursted out with laughter.
"Come on, Gil. Try and have some fun! Will ya?" You asked.
Gilbert looked at you as he brushed the snow from his arm and got down onto the snow. You walked forward a bit to see what he was doing, before you realized your mistake it was already to late. Gilbert rolled up the snow and struck you in the chest.
"That's cold!" You shouted as you cleaned yourself off quickly. The had struck near an opening in your coat making it fall inside freezing you even more. You couldn't help but giggle as you both continued to fight back and forth.
You had taught Gilbert how to build a snowman and coached him in making a perfect snow angel, against his protest, but now you sat by the fire warming off from the cold winter day.
As you sat the you felt something warm drape over your shoulder. Turning behind you was Gilbert holding two mugs of hot chocolate. Grinning, you took the one mug and held up part of the blanket Gil had put over you, so you could both share as you warmed by the fire.
"How was your first time playing in the snow?" You asked as you laid your head upon his shoulder. You could feel the dampness of his hair from the snow as he laid his head against yours.
"It was cold, but I guess it wasn't to bad." He answered as he took a sip of his warm hot chocolate.
You smiled and snuggled in closer to him as you could feel your face start to warm up. You couldn't tell if it was because of the warmth of the flames or the fact that you got to spend the day with the one you loved, but all you knew was that this was going to be one of the most memorable days for both you, and Gilbert.
