Picnic {Gilbert x Reader}

You ran down the grassy hill as the breeze blew into you, making your dress flutter in the wind. "Cone on, hurry up!" You called to the raven haired male who was far behind your tracks.

"Don't run to fast {y/n}," he called back, "besides I have to carry our lunch!"

You chuckled and with the shrug of your shoulders, you took off running down towards the dock.

It was a beautiful warm breezy day, as you had decided that it was a perfect day to go out on the boat. Gilbert had agreed to go along and made sure to pack a tasty lunch for later.

Gilbert, who had finally made it down to the dock along with you, packed everything into the small boat. He offered you his hand, which you gladly took, and helped you into the boat.

"What a gentleman~" you teased playfully as a slight tint of pink made its way to Gilbert's cheeks.

The breeze had let up a little making it easier for rowing through the lake. You sat on the bench across from Gilbert with your parasol in hands twirling it.

"I think this is a good place to stop." Said Gilbert as he rowed the boat closer to land.

The grass was a beautiful shade of dark green and the leaves filled the trees surrounding the patch of land, giving off enough shade to stay comfortable in the warm weather.

With Gilbert helping you out of the boat, you walked over to a nice spot in the grass and flattened out the picnic blanket before setting up all the food.

"Oh my!" You exclaimed as you opened the picnic basket to see all the delicious food Gilbert had prepared.

"I made all of your favorites. I hope you like it all."

"Like it? I love it Gil! Thank you so much!" You squealed tackling him to the blanket in a big hug.

He hesitated before hugging you back as his face began to flush pink. "Y-you are w-welcome, {y/n}." He managed to say before you proved yourself up enough to look him in the eyes.

"I love everything you have done for me, Gil, and I love you most of all." You said giving him a light kiss on the lips.

I feel this was a bit to cheesy, but I thought it was a cute idea to have you and Gilbert go out on a picnic together! Except I had no idea how to really write romantic conversations for this chapter, so I just filled it with scenery...basically. At least this chapter was spent with sweetheart, Gilbert!

Sorry it was short as well! I plan to maybe add more to this chapter later in the future, when my brain actually has a perfect idea for it ^ ^
