A Love to be Accepted {Levi x Reader}

It was just another boring day as you sat out on the back porch looking into the gardens, when all of a sudden big warm arms wrapped around your waist.

"Jeez, Levi, don't scare me like that!" You said slapping him lightly on the shoulder.

Levi grinned and buried his face in the crook of your neck, taking in your sent.

"You smell very good today, {y/n}." He said, knowing he had a smirk on his face as he lightly grazed you neck with lips.

The tingly touch of his lips were left on your neck as he pulled away from you, just to sit down on the porch railing with you. After his warm arms left your body, you could feel coldness hit you, even in summer.

"You shouldn't smell girls like that, Levi. Not all of them are like me and used to you antics." You said with a small giggle.

Levi and you had a weird relationship. You wouldn't say you were exactly dating him, but to the both of you, it felt like you both were, and that was good enough. You guessed. You always loved Levi, even though you refused to admit it.

You looked out into the gardens once again as comfortable silence fell over the both of you. That was until you could sense Levi's eyes on you. You ignored it, but his eyes never left from you.

Turning your head to look towards the man, he gave you a soft smile. "Sorry, {y/n}. You just look beautiful with the Sunlight washing over you." He admitted with out a single hint of embarrassment showing. You wondered how he could keep so calm when your heart was beating so fast it could break through your chest.

You were getting ready to say something meaningful back to Levi, when he bursted out into giggles.

"Sorry, sorry, {y/n}. I couldn't keep a serious face after saying something so cheesy. Besides, it seems you took my words so seriously." He said with that smirk of his.

He could make you so mad at times. Yeah, you did like him, but he did always have a tendency to play with your feelings.

Your face grew red in anger as you stomped away furiously. If only he knew how you felt about him.

You felt a hand catch you buy your wrist and draw you close. Enveloping you in warmth.

"Don't get so mad, {y/n}. It was only a little joke." He said in his teasing voice. He never did take things quite seriously.

"Just a joke, huh? How do you think I feel when you say things like that. You never stop to think of my feelings." You accidentally let slip out, but it was to late to take it back before Levi started talking.

"{y/n}, I'm sorry if you don't like it. I thought every girl like being called beautiful. Never knew a girl could get mad over something like that." He said just before you pushed away quickly from his arms.

"Are you an idiot!? Of course girls like being called beautiful, especially me! It just hurts when the guy you have liked for so many years decides to say those words to you, and then passes them off as a stupid joke!!" You said almost out of breath.

Levi was shocked. Never before had you snapped at him like that, and never before had he realized you both shared the same feelings, until now.

Pulling you close and laying your head against his chest, he ran his fingers through your {h/l} {h/c}. "I never actually meant that as a joke, nor do I mean to hurt you ever, but kissy know that I do love you, {y/n}." He said kissing the top of your head.
