You sat outside on the balcony gazing over the courtyard as you drank your tea. It was a lovely afternoon as there was only a light breeze that blew in through the warm air.
It was pretty lonely today, as it is most days. There was never anything that exciting going on around the mansion. You knew Levi was up in the tower with Lacie, and you didn't want to bother them, but the one person you did want to bother was Oswald. He has been busy a lot lately and not paying you any attention like he normally did. Usually he would sit out in the balcony and drink tea and have pleasant conversation with you, even if he didn't really say much, but it was still better than sitting alone with no one to talk to.
You stood up from your chair and smoothed out your dress before storming back into the mansion. You decided that you were done moping around alone when you could be spending precious time bothering Oswald. You had liked Oswald for awhile now. He never really spoke much to you, but when you spoke to him you could tell he was genuinely listening. He cared for you, but you know he only cared for you like a sister, like Lacie.
When you arrived outside of his bedroom door you hesitated before knocking. What if he didn't want to be bothered? You quickly brushed that thought aside and knocked anyways.
"..." no answer.
You knocked once more and carefully opened his bedroom door to only a crack.
"Oswald~" you cooed as you skipped your way into the room.
Sitting at a desk in a dark corner of the room was Oswald. He sat with his head laid in the crease of a book which startled you a bit.
Walking over carefully to get a better look you could see his eyes were closed as he breathed peacefully in a nice sleep.
Smiling you kneeled down on the floor beside him and brushed your hand along his pale cheeks.
His skin was cool to the touch as you brushed the hair softly out of his face. You could see the flutter of his eyes, but it was already to late. You were caught.
Sitting up in the chair, Oswald rubbed the sleep from his eyes before glaring down at you. "What are you doing in here?" He asked with a groggy voice.
Your heart spread up as you felt your cheeks start to warm. "S-sorry! I just wanted some company, that's all! I really didn't mean to disturb you." You said as you quickly scrambled to your feet.
"Again, sorry for bothering you during your working time! I'll just go now." You said trying to escape the menacing glare. You never thought Oswald would get so mad over you barging into his room.
As you were about to step into the hallway a voice called out to you.
"Stop..."
You turned to see Oswald with his hand over his eyes. He was up out of his desk chair as if he were going to go after you.
"You can stay...if you want." He said before slowly taking his seat again.
"You grinned and dashed back into the room taking a seat on the floor next to where he sat at the desk.
It was quite boring as you sat there doing nothing, but you loved the company of Oswald. The feeling of another living person beside you. A feeling that you weren't alone.
Your eyes fluttered as you were about to fall into a peaceful sleep yourself, when you felt a hand rest on the top of your head stroking you {h/l} {h/c}.
You rested your head into the touch as you were now on the ver verge of sleep, when you heard the four words you longed to here fall from the lips of the one you loved most in the world, "I love you, {y/n}."
You smiled as a blushed formed across your cheeks. Silently you whispered back, "I love you too, Oswald." You said before drifting into a long relaxing rest.

For some reason it was really hard thinking of a storyline to write along with Oswald, but I was determined to make a chapter with him as one of the main characters!
