"What are you doing?" You asked peering over your boyfriend, Elliot's, shoulder.

"What does it look like?" He asked, obviously annoyed.

Smiling, you pulled up a chair and sat down beside him at his desk. Lately Elliot has been on a writers block, as he has been trying to compose a new song for over a month now. It seemed that no matter what he came up with he was never happy.

"It looks good." You told him, and you did mean it. You didn't understand why he was so hard on himself about this.

"It's not good enough. None of it sounds they way it should. I don't even know what I want it to sound like."

"Why don't I help you?" You asked.

Elliot looked up at you with surprise before looking back to his in progress note sheet. "You can't even play the piano, and can you even read the notes?"

"Well, you could teach me. Unless you want me to press random keys on the piano until I make a melody!" You said with a little to much excitement.

"We don't need anymore racket, your moth makes enough of it." He said with a sigh as he walked over and sat down on the piano bench. "Well, what are you waiting for? You wanted me to teach you, right?"

A blush formed as you stood and walked over to where Elliot was sitting. You never though he would actually agree to this. Expanding his hand out towards you, you were taken by surprise. You put you hand in his and he pulled you down onto his lap.

"W-wha!"

"You said you wanted me to teach you, and I can only do that if I can have full control over where to lead your fingers." He said as a blush began to form across his face as well. Elliot always is the cutest when he becomes embarrassed.

"First, you want to have your hands here," he guided you right hand to the one side of the keys, "and here." He guided your left and to the other side.
Placing his hands overtop of yours, he used his fingers to tap on yours, to let you know which finger is to hit which key. It was difficult at first, but you were beginning to get the hang of it.

A few hours had gone by and you had fallen asleep while still sitting on Elliot's lap. Sighing, he lifted you up bridal style and carried you over to lay on the couch that was across the room form the piano. Tucking you in with a throw blanket, he then headed back over to his desk.

You awoke to the moon shining brightly through the huge glass window that shone into the piano room. Looking around hazily, you saw a dim light on in a corner of the room.

"E-Elliot..." he said as you stumbled over to him while wiping the sleep from your eyes.

Elliot was asleep at the desk with his head buried into his arms. Smiling you looked down at his note sheets to see a whole song written. Picking it up and looking it over, your heart skipped a beat. It was the exact song Elliot had taught you to play. He must had made it up as he was teaching you.

You grinned at the thought as you sat the note sheet back onto the desk, and leaned down to give your boyfriend a soft goodnight kiss on the head. "It's so beautiful, Elliot. Thank you."
