Cooking {Gilbert x Reader}

It was another afternoon as you sat out on the balcony of the Rainsworth manor drinking your tea. You watched as the beautiful sun was just about to set, knowing by now that Gilbert would be in the kitchen preparing for dinner.

"{y/n}-chan~" called an all to familiar voice.

"Yes Break, what is it?" You said with a sigh, afraid the albino man would interrupt your nice evening tea.

"Gilbert said "No candy for dinner!" Break said trying to imitate Gilbert, "so, since he won't let me into the kitchen where the candy is hidden I would like you to help me out." He finished giving you a sly smile.

Just by his showing already had interrupted with your evening, so you decided to day what he asked. "What is it that you need my help for?" You asked as you sat your teacup onto the table and stood up.

"Just sneak into the kitchen and get me the candy, as simple as that." He said with a shrug. "You are the only person Gilbert won't force out of the kitchen, he has a soft spot for cute ladies like you~" Break caressed your cheek making you blush.

Pushing his hand away playfully you nodded in agreement and went to fulfill Break's wish.

You knocked softly on the kitchen door and received no answer, so you knocked again, still no answer. Knocking on last time Gilbert through the door open with a look of annoyance upon his face. Once he saw you his face softened into a smile.

"I'm sorry {y/n}, I thought it was Break. He won't quit bugging me about candy." Gilbert said with the annoyance in his voice.

You giggled and waved it off, "you don't have to worry, I think Break gave up on trying to get his candy back."

"Well, I hate to do this to you {y/n}, but I'm afraid I can't talk for very long. I have lots to cook for tonight's dinner." He said with gloominess knowing he would have to leave you.

"Well," you said standing on your tiptoes to look over Gil's shoulder, "if you don't mind I would love to help you! My mother taught me some of the basics in cooking and baking." You said making Gilbert's face brighten.

"You seriously don't mind? I guess if you insist you may help me out." He said hopeful.

"Of course Gil!"

Gilbert had put you in charge of baking tonight's dessert as he worked on making the roast that Alice so desperately wanted.

You stood around the kitchen island with all the ingredients laid out in front of you, but the recipe card Gil had given to you was smudged from previously being used, over and over again.

"Gil, I uh..can't exactly read this." You said worriedly, the last thing you wanted to do was trouble him.

Gilbert stood behind you and took the smudged card to look at it. "It's okay, I've made this plenty of times so I'll help you." He said sticking the recipe back into the recipe box to be rewritten later.

"But, don't you have to make the main course?!" You exclaimed still worried.

Gilbert rested a hand upon your head calming you down, "don't worry {y/n}, everything is done and heating up in the oven, so I have time to help you out." He said giving you a reassuring smile that made your cheeks heat up.

He got all the ingredients out including the utensils you would be using. "First you want to use this." He said holding up a tin of flour.

Gilbert used your hand and guided it to one of the measuring cups helping you measure out the flour. "I-i know how to measure flour Gil." You stuttered a bit as your heart began to thump loudly in your chest.

"O-oh I-I'm sorry {y/n}!" Gil said realizing how he was holding your hand from behind as he helped you.

"It is okay! I really didn't mind it though." You exclaimed knowing you were still blushing like crazy, but you didn't bother trying to hide it as Gilbert had the same blush upon his face.

He slowly came back up behind you and placed his big warm hand over your small petite one and guided you through the process again. You liked the warmth you could feel from him from how close he stood, and the loud thump of his heartbeat you could hear.

"It's beautiful!" You exclaimed as Gilbert pulled the cake out of the oven.

"Isn't it? Of corse something beautiful like this could only be made buy someone like you." He said with a smile that made your heart race.

"So...am I interrupting something~" Break said with a smirk as he peaked his head into the kitchen making both you and Gilbert jump in surprise.

"Break, Get out! nothings completely ready yet!" Gil shouted trying to shut the kitchen door on Break.

You grinned and then the thought came to your mind that you had completely forgot Break's wish.

Sorry I don't know how to bake a cake, or how to make stories not to cheesy! ^ ^ I hope you all like this fanfic so far! And I'm also sorry that all your character does is blush!
