It was after school hours as you roamed the hallways of Lutwidge Academy. The school usually stayed open for students to use the library and art room at free will to either study or catch up on missed assignments.

You didn't feel like heading home yet, so you had spent sometime at the library reading you and your best friend, Elliot's favorite series, The Holy Knight. After finishing the latest book you still were not ready to go home so you ended up doing what you were right now, roaming the halls.

The school was huge and you could tell it was somewhat old, but it was still a pretty nice school. The hallways had lovely big windows overlooking the school grounds which is what you admired as you walked.

The sun was setting making the sky a gorgeous orange-yellow with hints of pink peeking out which kept your attention, until you saw some movement in the bushes below. You were on the second level of the school as you peered out the window and watched as rustling came from the bushes. Curious of course, you ran all the way down the long set of stairs and ran quickly out around the school.

You slowed up as the bushes continued to move and you could hear a faint sound of laughter coming from within.
The bushes were huge and could hide just about anything in them, which made you somewhat nervous to look.

Shoveling back all your fear, you slowly made your way over and pushed your way in through the bush until you tumbled into the center. Getting up you brushed yourself off and looked around until you saw a sight that you had never expected.

"You know it's rude to stare." Said your best friend as he sat on the one side of the bush trying to hide something behind his back.

"What are you doing in here, Elliot~" you sang his name with a smirk as you sat down in front of him.

He tried to hide the slight blush on his cheeks, but you obviously did not miss it. "Nothing, now leave." He declared pointing to the way you stumbled in.

You pouted knowing Elliot couldn't resist it. "Fine! You can stay, but don't you dare tell anyone about this. Especially Leo." He said as he pulled a cat out from behind his back.

It was so small, white, and fluffy. The kind of cat you just wanted to cuddle.

"Let me hold it!" You shouted as you stole the cat away from Elliot.

You and Elliot sat shoulder to shoulder as you brought you legs up to your chest, so you could lay the cat on its back so you could see it's soft white tummy.

"Elliot, is this Ada's cat, Dinah?" You asked as you finally recognized the small bow hidden within its fur.

"Maybe," he said snatching the cat back from you, "but you can't tell her about this either."

You giggled as you watched Elliot play with Dinah. Usually Elliot was a loud mouth and never seemed to have a caring side, but seeing him with Dinah made your heart melt. Thinking about it though could not be that big of a shock, Elliot does have a weak spot for you, Elliot really cares for you, and Leo too.

"You really do stare a lot." Elliot said turning to look at you.

Dinah laid curled up in his lap sleeping as a blush creeped up your cheeks.

"I-I was just... I was just thinking!" You blurted out in embarrassment. "I-i mean-" you got cut of by a set of soft warm lips crashing into yours.

Your blush became so intense it became so sweltering for you. As Elliot pulled back you could see his face was stained bright red as well, making you giggle. You had always loved Elliot, but you never thought a day like this would come.

"I-I'm sorry." He apologized trying to hide his face. "You just looked very..uh..very cute..." he admitted with a small glance your way which just made him blush more.

Your heart became so loud you figured he could hear it, but you didn't care because you were so happy to just be here with him now. Knowing you both shared the same feeling towards one another.

"I love you, {y/n}." He mumbled as he gently gripped hold of your hand.

Smiling, he squeezed his hand back. "I love you too, Elliot."
