New Student {Elliot x Reader}

You stood outside the classroom door nervously fidgeting with your hands, as the teacher announced to the class about a new student.

"Okay, {y/n}," you whispered to yourself, "you can do this! Just a simple introduction then I just have to take my seat and try to avoid as many people as I can. Easy...yeah, who am I kidding? I'm probably going to be a stuttering mess!"

Just then your small speech was interrupted by the teacher. "Everyone, I would like to introduce {y/n} {l/n}. I hope you can all get along!"

Walking into the classroom slowly you tried to act as confident as you could, but the feeling of everyone's eyes watching you made it impossible. Standing at the front of the room you bowed and tried to give everyone your best smile.

"Now lets see...." the teacher started as her eyes scanned the room, "ah, right there behind Mr. Nightray will be your new seat."

Looking in the same direction your eyes met with cold blue ones. The boy's gaze was enough to make your body stiffen as you began to walk towards your new seat. You tried your best to avoid his eyes as you stared down at your feet, but you could tell he was still watching your every movement, making you a little uneasy.

As you got to your seat and sat down the teacher began again. "Mr. Nightray, if you plan to stay after school to use the library tonight, would you mind showing Ms. {l/n} around?"

Suddenly your heart began to race nervously yet again. You thought all your troubles were gone! Now all that ran through your head was, "What is he going to say?!" "Oh please don't agree to this!"

"Yes, ma'am." He answered making your heart drop. How were you going to survive this?!

You managed to get through the day avoiding everyone as you had planned, but now you were stuck getting a tour from the one person you wanted to avoid the most!

You began to pack everything into your messenger bag when you heard footsteps enter the classroom.

"You sure are slow. Now, let's just get this over with." The boy said motioning you to follow with a wave of his hand.

You both walked silently through the hallways. Only nodding to show you understood what the boy said each class is, before it would fall silent again. Eventually it got to the point where you couldn't stand it anymore.

"I-I'm sorry if you had mentioned it before, but I never caught your name." You said a little quieter than what you expected.

Coming to a stop the boy turned turned his head enough until he could see you from the corner of his eye. "It's Elliot, Elliot Nightray." He said before proceeding down the hallway again.

The tour went back to being as awkward and silent as it was before, but again, you felt the need to say something. Anything that could break the awful silence.

"You don't have to do this you know. I can figure out my own way through the school, and if you don't like me, just tell me already and quit staring at me with those cold eyes!" You accidentally blurted out as you quickly covered your mouth.

You began to apologize, but was cut off before you could even say another word.

"I don't hate you, I barely know you, and...sorry...I guess....for staring, I mean. Besides no matter how much this tour is a pain for me, it would be an even bigger pain if you showed up to classes late." He said as he came to another complete stop, but this time he turned to face you fully.

"I-I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to say all of that! I just don't want to be a burden."

"Y-your not a burden." Elliot started quickly turning his face away from you to hide his blush. "In fact we finally got to one of the best rooms of this whole place, the library." He said pointing to the door to your side.

"Oh, I guess your right! It really is one of the best rooms." You said with a small giggle, making Elliot's face soften.

"So, I take it you like books? What's your favorite?" You asked, this time you watched as Elliot's face brighten.

"Who doesn't love books, I mean, The Holy Knights series is definitely the best! You have got to read it sometime, then we can talk about it together. That is...if you want to...with me." He said as his face began to flush once again.

"I would love to!" You said giving him your biggest smile. You guessed this guy wasn't as bad as you thought. He was pretty cute in fact, once you got to know him.
