Nine || Court

𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝟎𝟕𝟏𝟕𝟐𝟏

It's been a couple days since Eren patched the hole in our city walls. He had made it onto the front page of the news. Me, Mikasa and Armin have never separated from each other. Eren was locked up and he would be sent to court.

"Why does nobody understand?" Armin asked. "Eren helped us." Me and Mikasa nod as we make our way to the court room. We were called in. I only recognized Pixis, Erwin (The commander of the survey corps), and Levi Ackerman.

The front door opened and then shut closed. Everyone went silent as Eren walked into the middle of the room. A man behind him pushed him with his gun. Eren kneeled and they placed a steel pole in his handcuffs.

I gritted my teeth, unhappy with the way things were looking. His trial hasn't even begun and they're already treating him like some criminal.

I look in front of me, seeing the Military Police. They wanted Eren dead. They think he's a threat. The survey corps actually wanted to use Eren's power to defeat the titans.

"Eren Jeager, you are in here because a choice must be made. You will either be with the military police or the survey corps." The judge states. "I will listen to both sides to make a decision on what to do with you."

The military police make their statements first. "Eren Jeager should be disposed of. We understand that he patched the hole in our wall-"

"Unacceptable!" The pastor beside him yells. "This monster here has mocked the power of the walls!"

I scoffed quietly, trying to keep attention away from me so I wouldn't end up ruining his case. Eren was the one fighting those who broke down the wall and the pastor has the audacity to say such things. Maybe he should get eaten by a titan.

"As commander of the survey corps," Erwin starts, "I want to propose our ideas for Eren. We plan on letting him join our ranks and make him a scout. We will use his titan ability to retake our walls."

"Commander Pixis, has the wall in Trost been completely sealed?" The judge asks.

"That is correct," Pixis reply's. "The gate might never open again."

"Now, Mr Jeager. I have a question for you." The judge says. "Are you able to control your ability?"

"Yes, I can!" Eren answers.

"Well this report here contradicts your statement." Me and Mikasa look over at the blonde woman.

"What did you expect?" She whispers at us. "I wasn't just going to lie."

"Mikasa Ackerman, is it true that Eren Jeager attacked you in his titan form?"

Mikasa sighs and looks over to Eren with sad eye. "Yes, that's true." Mikasa says. "However, he had also saved my life. You must also keep these facts in consideration."

"Objection! She obviously has personal feelings for this boy!" A man from the military police says. "When the two of them were children, they killed thee adults that had kidnapped them." People in the room started to chatter, suddenly scared of Eren and Mikasa.

"HOLD IT!" Eren yells, "Just because I'm a monster doesn't mean she is! Leave her out of this!" The room goes silent again, all eyes on Eren. "Have you ever even seen a titan? Why are you so afraid of them? Why have your power if you won't use it to fight? All of you are cowards!"

A man aims his gun at Eren, but before he could shoot, Levi kicks Eren across his face. Everyone gasps. "I will discipline this boy through pain." Levi announces. He continues to kick and beat the boy.

"That might be enough, Levi." Someone from the Military Police says. "He'll turn into a titan if you make him angry enough."

"When he transformed, I heard that he killed twenty titans. How many of you can say the same?"

Erwin raises his hand. "I have an idea." He says.

"This isn't kindergarten, Erwin." I mutter. "You don't have to raise your hand."

"There is much we still do not know about Eren. He should be placed under Captain Levi's supervision and you can look over our results."

"The it is decided." The judge states. "Eren will be placed under Levi's supervision. If he loses control I expect Levi to handle the situation."

"I could kill him if it gets that bad." Levi reply's.

"Then my choice is made."

Eren Jeager is now a part of the survey corps.
