Twenty-Nine||Annie Leonhardt

A bolt of lightening erupts from the crowd of the people holding the woman down. Emerging from the light, I look up and see the same blonde female titan I had encountered in the forest.

"You were right, Armin." I whisper. Eren, Mikasa and Armin run under the ground to get away from the titan. Now how will they get out of there? I ask myself. The titan steps down where Mikasa, Armin and Eren were hiding.

Mikasa runs out of one end and Armin runs out of the other. Where's Eren?

Mikasa flies through the air in her 3DM gear, coming closer to the titan. She catches the soldier in her hand, but Mikasa cuts her way out using their swords.

Other soldiers around us swarm at the female titan, and Armin and Jean lead her to a path of the city. I look over and find that the titan had once again been caught. She was tied again with the arrows and steel ropes.

I watch from above as Hange steps onto the titans face. The female titan moves her leg to kick the people surrounding her and escapes from the ropes.

"Stop her!" Hange instructs. I follow after the titan, trying to dodge each boulder that would come flying our way. Mikasa got the closest to the titan out of all of us. She tried to cut every inch of the titan. The titan had swiped her away and she fell onto the ground.

"Mikasa!" Armin calls. I look behind me to find the girl, but a bolt of lightening makes me cover my eyes.

"Eren?" I whisper to myself.

"Yes, it is!" Armin says beside me. The female titan stops and stands still, waiting for him to come to her. Eren's footsteps cause the city underneath me to rumble.

Eren runs straight past us. Annie turns around, but she's punched in the face. Annie falls back into a church where worshipers were praying to the walls. Annie runs from Eren.

"It seems that maybe Eren has control." Hange says.

"Yes, but he's never beat the female titan before." Armin reply's.

"He won't go down easily." Jean says.

"Willpower isn't all it takes to win." Armin interrupts. The female titan runs over to an open area so we cannot get involved. Annie stops and turns around to face Eren.

I watch as she gets into the fighting stance that I once recognized. Who are you, Annie? I think to myself. Eren growls and pulls back his hand. He punches her in the arm, but she had hardened her skin just in time.

She went to kick Eren, but he was able to block it in time. Eren grabs her by her leg and throws her on top of buildings. He charges at her again, but she manages to get out of the way.

At this rate, even if we do capture the titan, the whole city is going to be destroyed. I think. Eren charges at the female titan once again, but she hardens her leg and kicks him. Eren hits Annie's face, causing her to stumble back.

Annie kicks Eren into a building. She screeches and continuously strikes his head. Smoke flies in the air away from Eren's body. Annie runs away from the scene and towards the wall.

Eren yells and gets back up, chasing the female.He jumps on top her her and pins her down to the ground. Eren grabs her face and squeezes it, causing blood to fly everywhere in the city. Annie hits him in the face with her elbow and attempts to get up.

Eren swats at her and she kicks him back into a building. Annie hardens the tips of her fingers in attempt to make something to grapple onto the wall with. With an intention to climb the wall, Annie leaps and bigs her finger in the wall. Eren grabs onto her legs and bites off the right leg.

Annie kicks him off of her with her left foot and continues to climb the wall. Mikasa uses her gear to launch herself in the air and cut off the titan's fingers. Annie falls back onto the ground, causing the ground beneath us to violently shake.

Eren takes this opportunity to tear the limbs off of the titan. He rips the head off of the titan and attempts to eat the girl inside the nape. A blue light coming from the nape of the titan stops Eren. The female inside the nape starts to crystallize.

Levi swoops in a cuts Eren out of the nape of his titan and the bones of the titans start to evaporate. We gather around the crystal which encased Annie. Jean tried to cut the woman out using their swords, but it did nothing.

"Damn it, Annie! We've come this far and you still won't say anything. Come out! Come out and finish what you started." Jean screams.

"Jean.." I whisper. I pat his shoulder in an attempt to calm him down. Jens brings his arm up once again to try and cut away at the crystal.

"Dont.." Captain Levi interrupts. "It's useless." Jean lowers his arm in defeat.

"Make a net!" Hange calls. "We'll tie her up and carry her underground." The soldiers do as their instructed as I stare down at the crystal. I didn't know Annie very well, but I still felt betrayed knowing that she was in the 104th just like me.

I look over my shoulder and watch as Captain Levi makes his way over to Commander Erwin. He stops to speak with him, but I cannot hear a word they say, so I turn my gaze back down to the crystal.

We take Eren away to a room to rest. The wind blew at the curtains, but also sent chills down my spine. Dust floated through the air of the room. I glance over at Eren a couple times and then decide to leave.

"I'm gonna get going, take care of him, Mikasa."

"I will." She says. She hasn't left his bedside for the past couple hours. I knew she would stay here until he was able to leave.

I go down to the cafeteria, deciding that I wanted tea. I dig through the tea packets, hoping I get something good. I pick out a flavor that reads (f/t) {favorite tea} and quietly celebrate to myself for picking such a good flavor.

"You're so strange, cadet." A voice called behind me. I jump and look back at the captain and salute.

"I just got a good flavor." I admit. I thought for a moment that the corporal had a smile on his face, but it had disappeared quickly.

"Come to my office tonight after you finish dinner, cadet."

"Yes, sir." I stand there dipping my tea bag into the water.

"Could you-" The corporal starts, inching his way towards the tea bags.

"I'm sorry." I get out of his way and allow him to make his tea. I head back to my room to take a nap.
