Twenty-Six || Jealousy

I quietly knock on the wooden door. "Come in." A small voice calls on the other side. "Hey, Y/n." Eren says as I walk in.

"Hey."

"What are you doing?"

"I'm checking on you."

"Why?"

"Because you're my friend." Eren sits up on his bed and looks over at me. "Are you okay, Eren?"

"I told you all that I'm just tired. You can go check up on the captain now."

"Is that why your mad?"

"No."

"Are you jealous I was helping the captain?"

"No!" He screams turning the other way. I chuckle and sit beside him.

"Eren, you can tell me anything." I say looking at him in a joking way. Eren looks over and smiles at me. His emerald eyes meet my (e/c) ones. His smile fades and the then looks over to the side. "Eren?"

"Y/n, you know I like you. I have to ask you one more time, would you date me?" I stare at the boy. Eren, why would you like me?

"Eren, I would date you if I felt the same way about you. I love you Eren, but not in that way." He nods. "Trust me, you would not be happy in a relationship where you're the only one who loves the other."

"I'm sorry, you're right." He shifts from the position he was sitting in because of his discomfort.

"Don't apologize for the way you feel. You're still very young, Eren. You will find someone who will love you the way you love them."

"I know that. But I just really like you."

"Eren, you'll get over me eventually." He nods and crawls under the blankets on his bed.

"Thank you for being my friend, Y/n."

"Of course, Eren. I'll always be here for you." I smile and leave the room, letting Eren get rest. I walk down the hallway to go to my room to also rest.

"GET BACK HERE!" I hear a loud voice call. I look around the corner and find Hange.

"Hange?" I call.

"Y/n, help me."

"What's wrong?"

"Levi's running from the infirmary."

"Why?"

"He's trying to prove to me that his ankle is fine."

"But it's not fine."

"I know. He broke his ankle but he thinks he's fine." I chuckle to myself, imagining the captain running on a broken ankle.

"Help me find him, please."

"Fine, Hange." I follow behind them, looking in every hallway for the captain.

"Where could he have gone?" Hange asks, pulling at their hair.

"Hange, he'll go back to his room eventually. He has paperwork." Hange nods.

"Thanks for the help, Y/n. I guess I'll just look for him tomorrow. I sigh and walk into the cafeteria to get dinner.

"Y/n, I saved you a seat." Armin says to me.

"Thank you, Armin." He smiles and turns his attention back to Eren and Mikasa. After a few moments of sitting at their table, I found out that they were talking about the female titan.

"I have a theory," Armin starts, "I've got a good idea of who the female titan is."

"How?" Eren asks surprised.

"I don't want to say anything right now, just in case I'm wrong."

"That makes sense." I say.

"I'll bring my idea to the commander's attention." Armin says. I finish my food and once again stack my plate so it could be washed.

"I'll see you guys later." Armin says waving to us as he walks down the hall.

"I'm pretty tired." I yawn. "I'm going to go to sleep."

"Goodnight." Eren and Mikasa say to me simultaneously. I weakly wave my hand in the air and drag my feet along the wooden floors. I force the lids of my eyes to stay open so I don't knock my head on anything.

At last, I had finally reached my room. I turn the knob and walk into my room. I shut the door behind me and then gasp.
