Chapter 19

March 4th, Monday morning. After everyone went home the four fell asleep in the living room.

"Rise and shine everyone! Let's get a move on!" Via's voice thundered through the silent room.

Nino stretches herself awake and Gemerai rubs her face.

Leona rolls over, "ugh, five more minutes..."

Via, unimpressed, goes to the kitchen and grabs a cup of water. She comes back and dumps it on Leona, "get up. We're leaving shortly."

Leona's eyes widen from the sudden cold, "aya! That's freezing!"

"Gemerai can you make sure she packed essential things and not just booze."

Gemerai sits up, "So, wait does this mean I get to go? Cause I never did think of a reason..."

"Nevermind that. Just go check her bag then you can go."

Gemerai stands up, "yes ma'am! Come on Leona, show me to your backpack!"

"Nino, did you even pack for this trip?" Via questions.

"Yup, everything is right here in my pocket dimension."

"Okay good. I'm gonna go grab my backpack," Via heads to her room, grabs her bag and goes back out into the living room. She sets the bag down by the couch, "how does your void thing work? Can it hold food for long periods of time?"

Nino sits up, "I have no clue, I've never tried that."

Via goes over to the kitchen and looks in the fridge. She grabs an orange and tosses it to Nino, "here try this. We'll check on it in a couple of minutes."

Nino sticks the orange into her pocket void, "okay then?"

Via calls out, "girls, are you almost ready?" she heads down the hallway.

"Almost," Gemerai replies, "as you suspected, she packed a lot of booze!"

Via goes into the guest bathroom, "of course she did," she opens the mirror cabinet and grabs the first aid kit. She also grabs extra bandages and heads back to Nino, "here put these in your void too. How's the fruit doing?"

Nino puts in the bandages and pulls out the fruit, "oof colder than before."

Via takes the fruit, "hm, okay. This is frozen. That certainly didn't take long. I've got an idea," she goes into the garage and pulls out a decent size cooler. She takes the cooler to the fridge and puts two weeks worth of food for four people, "the cooler should prevent it from freezing but keep it at a good temperature. Go ahead and do your thing."

Nino uses her finger to make the void take the cooler away.

"Okay, we're ready," Gemerai plops both their bags down.

"One bottle of booze isn't enough!" Leona comes whining down the hallway.

Gemerai looks to Leona, "I'm starting to think you're an alcoholic."

"I can't be if I don't get drunk!"

Gemerai facepalms, "that's not how that works... are we leaving soon?"

"Yep. I just grabbed the last of what we might need. Have you all put your thermal suits on? You'll freeze without them," Via goes to grab her backpack.

"Yep!" Gemerai pats her chest, "I made sure Leona and I put them on, back in the bedroom."

Leona adjusts her back pack, "we're all set and good to go!"

Nino stands and stretches, "all good here."

"Okay I'll meet you guys outside. I've gotta let Sara know we're leaving," Via goes to the servants room and cracks open the door. She speaks softly, "hey Sara, we're leaving."
