Chapter 3

"Via?" Gemerai stares.

"Via, is something the matter?" The Teacher asks.

Via's G.W. vibrates as she stands up. She bows, "I need to use the restroom. Please excuse me," then she takes her leave.

"Alright then?" The teacher pays attention back to the class, "no more disruptions. Now where was I..."

Leona leans forward in her desk and softly talks to Gemerai, "what was that about?"

"I don't know. All I did was ask about the tattoo on her back."

Leona asks, "she has a tattoo on her back? I've never seen it before."

"Yeah, neither had I, until today," Gemerai puts a slightly curled finger to her chin, "It looked kinda weird."

"What did it look like?"

The teacher points his hand towards them as he speaks,"ladies please stop talking. Or I will give you both detention."

"Yes sir..." they both say with their heads lowered.

Once class had ended Via came back to collect her things.

Gemerai stops Via before she can leave, "Via, I didn't mean to upset you-"

"I'm not upset," Via puts her G.W. back on her belt.

"Then, why were you gone for the rest of the class?"

Via collects her things, "I had something important come up."

"So, you're not mad that I saw that weird tattoo on your back?"

"Yes, I'm not mad. Why would I be mad at you looking at my tattoo?"

"Because you looked pissed when you grabbed my hand," Gemerai holds up her hand.

"You just caught me by surprise. It was just my reflexes kicking in."

"Ah.....so, um, what was the thing that was important? You know, the thing that you just had to skip class for?"

"Oh, um... some....thing? Well, would you look at the time! We should really be heading to our next class," Via avoids eye contact as much as possible.

"Hmm, okay. I suppose we shouldn't be late to our next class. Leona's probably wondering where we are by now," Gemerai takes the lead to the next class.

"Phew..." Via follows, after putting her things away in her locker. When Via gets to class, everyone is in their seats. Via sits down as soon as the bell rings then takes a look around the classroom, "I see the triplets are here today."

"Yep. I still think it's weird that they're all at different tables," Leona says.

Via continues, "But, I still haven't seen River. You think she's okay?"

Gemerai and Leona shrug.

"I couldn't help but notice your conversation there," Nino says telepathically.

"Ah! Nino! You know we hate it when you do that without notice," Via says through the telepathic line.

"Sorry, but I thought I would just let you know her translator cat is the one that caught something. So, they'll be gone for a few days."

"Thank you, now get out of our heads," Gemerai grumbles.

"Alright, geez," Nino cuts the line.

Leona asks leaning back in her chair, "Why do I always taste strawberries when she does that?"

The other two shake their heads.
