"Who would that be?" Gemerai asks.
Leona leans over, "I think she fell asleep."
"Let's go then. I kinda wanted to go check up on the Lieutenant to see how he was coping," Gemerai stands up from the chair.
Leona slides off from the bed, "I'm going to go see if they have some liquor somewhere."
"Leona, this is Via's ship. She probably doesn't allow that sort of thing."
"True. I guess I'll just go to the cafeteria then to see what kind of food they have."
"Mkay," Gemerai heads up the hallway andLeona heads down.
Gemerai asks around about Jasper and Leona finds her way to the cafeteria.
The next day Via wakes up.
Saffon is sitting in a chair next to her bed. He has one foot on the chair and an arm resting on his knee while staring at her.
Kyra turns from the counter, "you sure were exhausted. Want to tell me what happened now?"
"How are you feeling?" Saffon asks.
"Why don't you ask him?" Via glares at Saffon, "Speaking of which," Via grabs Saffons shirt and yanks him closer, "don't ever do that again. If you knew that was going to happen then you should have stopped after a certain point."
Saffon bumps her hand away and leans back in the chair, "oh please, you brought it upon yourself. I tried to warn you, besides you didn't die, did you?"
Via puts her hand down and burrows her eyebrows, "only because our bond prohibits it. You really don't care for these bonds do you?"
"Like I said, it's a prison."
"Fine. Let's make a deal. You assist me in this war and I find a way to free you."
"I think you're forgetting the only person that can free me is Noray. I highly doubt my sister is willing to free me because that would mean she'd no longer have the throne."
Via sits up,"it's worth a try, don't you think? So, do we have a deal or not?"
"I really don't have much of a choice do I?"
"I initially just needed you to help me fix the planet but I realize you could be useful in the war. I'm giving you the option. Train me and join in the war to get the throne back or abandon an entire section of the universe leaving hundreds of lives to be lost."
"Fine. I suppose I'll assist you in the war."
"Alright Via," Kyra chimes in, "I'm going to need you to lay down again." Via lays down and Kyra takes a look at the small machine. "Your oxygen levels seem to have come back to normal. What exactly happened yesterday to have it drop abnormally low?"
"Oh, yeah, Saffon almost killed me with his time magic."
Kyra glares at Saffon for a few seconds then focuses back on Via, "I see. I'll give him an earful later. For now, go ahead and clip this back on."
Via takes the machine from Kyra and clips it onto her leggings. She stands up, "have you by chance seen the other two?"
"The other two... oh, right! Last I saw they were in the sleeping quarters."
"Okay, thank you. Saffon let's go," Via exits the room.
Saffon stands up from the chair and accompanies Via down the hall.
They arrive at the cockpit and Via presses her hand to a scanner to confirm her authority to enter.
Vesper notices the two walk in and moves to stand at attention, "General Via, glad to see you're back in good health."
