Chapter 4

"Wha- why shouldn't I trust her?"

Gemerai releases Leona's arm, "she's been acting super suspicious lately. I don't know why, but I have a strange suspicion that we shouldn't trust her."

"Well, I would be on edge to if I was a top student and everyone constantly breathed down my neck about it. Like Nino said we should just leave her alone," Leona opens the restroom door.

"That may be so, but she's acting really really weird. Like more weird than normal. All I'm saying is don't let yourself get deceived. You said it yourself, you don't know much about her. Don't you think it's about time you do?"

Leona doesn't turn from the door, "And what do you suppose I do about it?"

"Maybe when she's out of the house you could go into her room and find out something about her?"

"I'll think about it. Let's go before we get in more trouble," Leona leaves to the locker room as the bell rings.

"And there's the late bell," Gemerai sighs, "great..."

After classes, Leona met up with Via to get on the bus. Via refused to say a word as she had been all day.

"Still not speaking I see," Leona cocks her head, "Are you mad at me as well?"

Via glances at Leona, "what do you think?" she gets onto the bus and takes a seat in the back. They sit silent in an awkward tension during the ride. When they get home Via goes straight to her room and slams the door behind her.

"Lady Leona, what has gotten Mistress Via upset?" Lennon asks.

They then heard Via shouting "get out" and a door slam.

Lennon and Leona go over to Sara crying on the ground sitting in the hallway in front of Via's door.

"Sara, what happened?" Lennon asks.

"Via... she was mad. I-I was, she used, an-" Sara buries her face into Lennon's chest as her body trembles.

Lennon hugs her, "Sara, just breathe. It's alright."

Leona sighs, "Via's kind of had a rough day. Sara it's not specifically your fault. It's actually kinda... all, our faults?"

Lennon looks at Leona, "oh, I'm guessing she found out about that, huh? Suppose I should have seen this coming."

"Well, it wasn't just us. It was also Gemerai asking a lot of questions."

Sara wipes away some of her tears, "what kind of questions?"

"Oh, she was just asking nonsense. Like what actually is the tiny golden wings is that she always carries around on her belt like it's accessory. And who was she talking to while in the bathroom, and also why she was constantly 'sneaking' around. You know stuff like that. Why?"

Lennon and Sara look at each other then back at Leona. Sara replies, "oh, it's nothing really. I was just... curious as to why she might be so upset. That's why I went to her room. Then she used her bending and slammed the door. I was so scared I thought she was going to kill me," Sara's ears press against her head and her tail tucked between her legs.

"You and I both know very well that she's had a temper problem since she was small," Lennon smiles.

Sara also smiles, "Pff yeah, I remember all those fussy diaper changes that she just would not sit still for."

"Yeah, her mother was often doing queen stuff... but when Via became th-"
