Chapter 26

Saffon holds his hands out in front of him then waves them outward with palms facing up. From Saffon's and Via's perspective everyone seemed to be extremely slowed down.

All of the sudden Via felt an immense pressure surrounding her body. Her eyes widened as she dropped to one knee. She puts a hand to her chest as she starts gasping for air. She can feel her body trembling and her heart racing. She looks up at Saffon with her eyes pleading for him to stop. Tears roll down as her vision blackens and her body finally gives in to the gravity.

Saffon lowers his arms and looks over his shoulder at Via. He waves his arms in an 'X' to stop the time spell. Saffon crouches by Via's side, "well, I can say you've lasted longer than most," he then notices everyone had been violently pounding on the barrier this entire time. He stands then snaps his fingers to lower the barrier.

Before he is given the chance to speak, Jasper and Isabelle push him aside and rush to Via's aid.

Gemerai throws up her arms as she screams, "What the fuck, man!? What was that about?"

"Hey, I tried to warn her that she wasn't ready, but nobody wants to listen to the overpowered being do they?" He bites his wrist till it bleeds. He tries to aid Via but Jasper and Isabelle block him.

"You're not getting anywhere near her," Isabelle growls.

"Yeah, you get your overpowered tiger ass away from her!" Jasper hisses.

"Do you want her to die? Cause she's got about eleven more seconds before she dies."

Isabelle clenches her fists, "Why should we trust you after the shit you just pulled?"

Saffon replies with, "ten seconds."

Jasper and Isabelle don't budge.

Saffon looks past the two at Via who's turning a snow white, "hmm, five seconds."

"Just let him do it!" Gemerai demands.

"What if he's trying to trick us again!? Via's life could be at risk!" Isabelle shouts.

Saffon stares at his wrist, "three seconds. Are you just going to make me stand here and bleed?"

"Yes!" Isabelle snarls.

Gemerai takes a step forward, "Just move!"

Isabelle stands and gets in Gemerai's face, "No, how do we know you're not working with him!?"

"Two..."

"Guys!" Leona shouts, grabbing everyone's attention. She can feel her body tremble as she tries so hard to fight back the tears. With her eyes threatening, she growls, "Move."

Saffon takes a knee as they move. He holds out his wrist to allow his golden blood to drip in her mouth. Everyone stares in anticipation.

A few moments later Via takes in a deep breath then coughs. She pushes his arm away as she sits up.

Everyone sighs in relief.

Jasper rubs Via's back, "how are you feeling?"

Saffon holds his wrist up, "please, you need to drink more to not have permanent damage."

Via felt drowsy as she took his arm and drank some more. She takes a breath, "did you manage to fix the planet?"

"You were only able to last three minutes after I activated my power. Like I said before, you need to train your body to be able to withstand my power," he stands up and stretches, "take her to go get assessments. I'm going to take a nap," he yawns as he leaves.
