The legend: Volume 1

Chapter 2

The whistle blows. Via and Mayvel volts for a ball. Via gets there first.

Everyone not on Via's team hesitates.

"Bitch," Mayvel says loud enough so Via can hear but the teacher can't.

Via gives a shit eating grin, "names really? Do you really want to make an enemy out of me?"

"Why not? You'll never be anyone. I bet you're people won't even listen to you when you take rule to whatever your planet is," Mayvel stands up flipping her hair back.

Via stands up as well, "Is that so? How about this, I'll let you walk away just this once, seeing how you're so confident in yourself," Via turns around and takes precisely three steps .

Mayvel blurts out,"Whatever loser," as she walks away.

Via pivots and throws the ball hard and fast. It hits Mayvel square in the back knocking her out of breath. "That's for calling me a bitch, you whore!" Via walks back to her group.

"Via, language!" Calls the teacher.

"Via, that was kinda harsh," Gemerai's voice at a low volume.

"She had it coming," Via holds her head high.

"Mayvel you alright?" Bluebell concerningly asks. Mayvel gives no response. "Teacher, I'm going to take her to the nurse's office," Bluebell picks Mayvel up. The teacher gestures for her to go ahead.

An hour later it's down to Via and somehow Leona.

Gemerai takes out her phone and begins recording, "this is going to be hilarious."

"You're tellin' me," says Lucica who is also recording, "this is going on the schools website."

"We have a website?" Gemerai asks, "don't you think that could be dangerous, since we're supposed to be in hiding?

"Nah, I didn't make the website too obvious and only us students can access it."

"So, it has come down to this, my dear friend!" Leona shouts.

"Yes it has. Miraculously you have come this far, but, my friend, this will be the end for you!" Via points to her with her body slightly angled for dramatic affect.

Leona laughs, "you may have defeated me last time but, this time, I will win! For the sake of my teammates who have fallen!"

"Just give it up already Leona," says a teammate of hers.

"Yeah Leona, no one can win against Via, besides she's right, it was just luck that got you here," another exclaims.

"You guys are unbelievable! I am gonna prove myself!" Leona's hair and tail light with fire.

"Hey no special powers! That's breaking the rules," Via demands.

The teacher raises a hand, "Via, she's going up against you. I'll allow it."

Via looks at the teacher, "fair enough I suppose," she says as she turns to face back toward Leona. She quickly dodges as another ball is thrown.

Leona looked more serious than ever.

Via smiles, "finally, some competition!" She bounces the ball in her hand. Hesitant how she should go about this.

The whole class watches in excitement. They knew things were about to get interesting.

Via got into position to throw her ball. She was ready to throw it when next thing she knew, it was knocked out of her hand by a ball flying by. Via's eyes widened as that clearly almost hit her face. "Leona! No face!" Via whines.
