5. old memories

It is Saturday afternoon, Singto is feeling lazy to even move his finger. It's a holiday for him, today he decided to rest the whole day and asked New to look after his work. He was lazily lying on the bed with his baby.

When suddenly his mobile started ringing.

He grumbled and move to another side of the bed. He knew that no one dared to call him on his off day except his family members. He looked at the screen and immediately answer the call.

Singto - "Hello ma"

Mrs. Parachaya - "Hello sweetie, how are you?"

Singto - "I am good ma"

Mrs. Parachaya - "Sweetie, you remember ma's best friend? Aunt Nantana? "

Singto - "Yes ma, She used to give me lots of chocolates."

Mrs. Parachaya - "Yes sweetie, her son came back from Chiang Mai after 4 years. He went there for studies. Now she invited us for a small get-together and she also wanted New to join. So ma want you two to be there on time"

Singto - "But ma, can't I skip this? I'll meet aunt afterwards and about New, he will join you directly at the party venue. I'll call him now. "

Mrs. Parachaya - "SINGTO aunt specially invited both of you because you both used to play with Kit. And she invited all his friends, so young man you better be there on time. Am I clear? "

Singto - "Yes ma"

After making the call to New and informing him about the party and all, Singto moved back to the bed. He threw himself on the bed and stared at the ceiling till he drifted off to sleep, While thinking about the Kit.

The boy is two years younger than Singto. He used to be shy, very shy. Singto still remembers the first time he met Kit. It was a school holiday at that time when the Perawat family visited his mansion. Kit must be 10 or something at that time. The boy at first looked like a lost kitten and got so nervous that he started stammering first but after sometime when he got to know Singto and his friends including New. He became more comfortable.

Singto noticed that time the small little boy is really cute and naive. He still believes in fairy tales. At that time Singto was very protective towards the boy. He always makes sure that no one dared to hurt him. In fact, he warns everyone that time. Honestly Kit was so cute and adorable that no one even thought of hurting him intentionally. He was loved by everyone. Singto never told anyone but he always wanted to meet him again, to be with him forever. But after they left the guy never contacted him. Aunt used to call his ma for sometimes but the younger one never left any message for him.

At first, Singto felt bad about his behaviour, then he started getting angry. But at a certain point when he came to know that there is no use to be angry. He just ignored the existence of the guy. 

Singto woke up by the loud bang on the door. He startled for some time, when he came back to his senses he got off from a bed to open the door.

It is none other than New, he is standing right now in front of the door. Singto just ignored him and went back to the bed. New came in and closed the door.

New - "Still feeling upset about his behaviour?"

Singto just sighed heavily to which New chuckled and settled down himself on the sofa.

New - "It's been year's Singto, just think about it as an official boring meeting."

Singto - "It's not about that, I am just not feeling comfortable meeting him suddenly."

They stayed in the silent for sometime when New broke the silence.

New - "Mind if I asked you something?"

Singto - "seriously New, stopped with that. This is the second time you are doing this. "

New looked confused "what I did?"

Singto - "This formality I mean First time you did with me because of Tay and now again? What it is about?"

New laugh out loud of Singto's frustrating look he shook his head and said

"No, no don't be frustrated I won't do any formality from now. Ok? "

Singto again sighed but this time he moved to the sofa next to New.

New just patted his shoulder and continued
"I was just curious about why are you so uncomfortable meeting him. He is just a friend with whom we both shared our childhood. Or you are scared that he might not remember you at all?"

Singto's eyes widen and he moved his head to look new so fast that for a second New felt he will hurt his neck. But when his eyes meet New's and Sinto knew New know him very well. He looked down while playing with his fingers.

Singto - "I... I just... Wo..nder. If he.. "

To which New chuckled again. He patted Singto's head. Sometimes he wonders is this the same Singto who is running this MNC, or he is someone else. He is sure no one except his family knew this immature and innocent side of his.

New - "Singto have you forgotten the time when it was kit's last few days here?"

To which Singto just shook his head and smile at the memory.

Actually that time when Kit knew that he is going back in few days, he apparently glued himself with Singto almost for all days. But when that day came. He suddenly disappeared somewhere, everyone got scared. Aunt Nan just cried and cried miserably. 

Singto searched him with his friends everywhere but Kit he just like perished. When Singto felt like he lost Kit and was about to cry he came back to his room to found out the Kit was hiding in his wardrobe.

He was sleeping over there and looking really adorable like a kitten. He then picked him up in the bridal style and put him on the bed then covered him with sheet. He felt the urge to kiss him, so he did, he kissed his forehead. When he was about to move to inform others about the Kit that time Kit held his hand tightly and murmured 'I don't want to go ma'. Singto smiled looking at him sleep talking he stayed there. New who was there from start he asked Singto to stay and went to inform all about the Kit.

When aunt Nan came to know about Kit she just ran towards the room and held Kit in her arms while giving kisses everywhere on his face. Singto chukcked because at that time Kit just frightened by sudden movement and he became all red.

Kit was forced to leave though he tried everything but apparently he left giving Singto promise to be friends forever.

New jerked Singto because of which he came back to the reality, but now after remembering everything he wasn't feeling that bad to meet Kit.

New - "I'll just spend some time with your baby. Till then you go get ready we have plenty of time left " he giggled.

To which Singto throw his side pillow towards New which he catch and they both ended up in pillow fight for sometime.

It's like after one hour of taking his sufficient time Singto finally came out. He is looking dam good in the party attire.

When he saw New sleeping while his baby talking to no one. At the scene he pulled out his camera and snap the picture with mischievous smile.
