BEVERLY'S POV

I walked through the front door of my house after my "date" and was greeted by the same sight as always. The greasers sat around my house having a grand old time. They were all at the dining table eating away and I tried to walk off to my room without being noticed.

"Hey Bevvy, how was it?" Great, they caught me. Sometimes Pony called me Bevvy jokingly because I thought it was a stupid nickname.

I let out a sigh, "It sucked. I'm going to bed good night," I told Pony without even turning to face him. Talking about that "date" was the last thing I wanted to do right now. I think one of my brothers called something out to me as I was walking away but I couldn't hear it, everything sounded muffled and I felt really light-headed.

I'd only been in my room for about a minute when Darry appeared in my door way.

"Why'd your date suck, what did that punk do?" Darry asked sounding more like a friend then a parent.

"Dar, I really don't want to talk about it please," he could tell how upset I was because his facial expression softened, "just know nothing happened that I didn't want to."

"Okay Bev. Well you know I'm always here for you even if you just wanna talk. I know I can be hard on you but you're my kid sister and I care about what's going on."

"I know, love ya." I felt like I didn't tell my brothers I loved them enough.

"Love you too," Darry ruffled my hair and then left me alone.

After staring at my ceiling for what felt like forever, thinking about god knows what, I got into my pajamas(which consisted of one of Darry's old tshirts and a pair of Pony's sweatpants) and slipped into bed. Before I was too comfortable I opened my window and the smell of the fresh air and the cool breeze filled my room.

I slept for only a little bit when I was woken up at midnight because of all the noise coming from down the hall. It was the gang. I figured instead of trying to fall back asleep while the thoughts from my movie date tonight irked me, I'd go hangout with them. Earlier I did mention to Dally how I didn't really knew them even though they were around twenty-four seven, maybe it was time to change that.

I greeted them with a smile but when Pony gave me a bit of funny look that's when I realized I was in my pajamas still and looked messier then ever. But oh well it was too late now. I asked him if I could hang with him and he looked real happy about it. He moved over so I could sit between him and Johnny on the couch. I wrapped my arm around my little brother and messed up his hair a bit, he cared so much about having his hair perfect. They all did, it was weird. That's actually why they were called the greasers, because of the thick layer of grease they all had in their hair. I was nervous at first but I felt like I fit right in.

"Hey why didn't you guys tell us you had a hot sister," Two Bit joked, I laughed at that. He was actually pretty funny. The room was filled with laughs as he said that except for Soda and Pony eyeing him.

"Shut up Two," Soda growled. But we could tell he was joking too causing us all to crack up even more. Dar probably woulda been pissed but he was sleeping because he had work. I felt bad for Darry sometimes, he never stayed up late like the rest of the hang and I felt like he was forced to grow up too fast. He was only twenty one and acted like a father to three, or more if you were to count the gang. He treated them all like his younger brothers too.

DALLY'S POV

I hungout with the gang for the rest of the night. We sat around and drank the beers I'd gotten earlier. When I wasn't paying attention I caught myself thinking bout Beverly. She was the Curtis's sister and I knew they'd kill me if I tried anything on her.

After a while we relaxed a little bit and just put on the radio. A few of us were a little drunk and we joked around dancing and singing having a grand old time. Around midnight we were playing a game, I don't even remember what, when Beverly came walking right in, pajamas and all, and took a seat right in between Johnny and Pony. He wouldn't admit it, but I think Johnny was blushing a bit. He was shy like that.

She fit in surprisingly well and joked around with us and all. We didn't really have girls in our gang because they could be annoying, but Bev was cool. She even made us all popcorn and we sat down to watch a movie. Two Bit took her seat on the couch so she was forced to sit on the floor with me.

"Hey Dally," she looked a lot happier then when I picked her up earlier, "thanks again for the ride."

"No problem. I hope that guy didn't ruin your night completely."

"Nah, hanging with yous cheered me up. For a bunch of greasers you're not that tough. You guys act like a bunch of dorks" She laughed at that and so did I.

The gang all fell asleep watching the movie and Beverly fell asleep on my shoulder. I didn't mind it but I figured Darry would be mad if he saw she fell asleep on me, so I carried her to her room. I tried my best not to wake her up and I succeeded.

I left Bev's room and went outside to smoke a cigarette. Nights like these were nice. A cool breeze against my skin and no worries. That was until I saw a bunch of drunk socs walking down our street, begging for trouble.
