I had to beg Darry to call April. He kept saying he doesn't need his little sister to set him up and blah blah blah. It took some convincing but finally he gave in. Later that night he called April and asked her if she wanted to go out to dinner tomorrow night(Friday) and she said yes! I was probably more excited than him but he made me promise not to tell anyone. Everyone would probably just assume he's at work anyway. Mostly the gang stayed at home tonight, except for Dally staying on our couch, and me and my brothers just ate dinner together. Johnny stopped by to bring Dally a pack of cigarettes and he lit one almost immediately. I didn't like the smell of cigarettes and I didn't like when the gang smoked in our house, it was Dally most of the time, but I'd let this one slide because he was hurting. I went to bed early that night because I was excited and/or nervous for tomorrow. I couldn't tell. Before I went my to room I stole a kiss from Dally when I was sure no one could see.

I woke up in a happy mood. And as I walked into the kitchen that morning I could tell everyone was feeling the same way as me, who wouldn't be though, it was a Friday. Me and Pony walked to school and Soda left for work. Darry was already gone when we woke up, I guess he went to work early so he could also leave early and get ready for his date with April. Dally was gone too, he probably was feeling better so he went home.

The school day went by surprisingly fast. I made a new friend who I have a few classes with, her name is Georgia. She's kinda quiet but really nice and funny once you get to know her. So school's not the worst. After school I went home with Johnny and Pony, they were probably getting ready to go out tonight. Where? I'm not sure. I began to cook dinner for me and Dally. The gang was gathered in the living room and eventually they all made their way to the kitchen. Maybe it was the delicious scent of the food that filled the house, drew them into the kitchen.

"Are you sure you don't wanna hangout with us tonight?" Johnny asked for the tenth time.

"Yes I'm sure, I'll be here when you guys get back."

"Okay your loss Bev," Steve said sarcastically as he walked out of the door. As the rest of the gang left I saw Dally come in. Our eyes locked and I ran up to him. His arms wrapped around me and I took in the scent of his cologne and the faint smell of cigarettes. As I pulled away he asked me a question.

"We going out with the gang tonight?"

I frowned. "Well I was thinking we could stay in maybe. I started to cook dinner for us and it will probably be best for your leg to heal," I acted like I hadn't been planning this for a few days.

"Okay cool," he smiled and took a seat on the couch, "you're cooking, that's what this lovely smell is?"

"Yes. Come help me Dallas pleaseee," I said while dragging him off of his spot on the couch.

"Oh come on Bev, I'm no chef," he whined.

"Neither am I. This will be a learning experience for the both of us," and within the next minute I had Dally in the kitchen with an apron tied around his waist. From the corner of my eye I watched as he struggled pretty much every step of the way. It was really cute but I had to help the poor kid. Eventually we finished the task at hand.

"Not too bad," Dally spoke, diving into his food. I did the same.

"I hope you don't mind I don't really look like a lady right now."

"Oh Bev, you're always the prettiest lady to me," he joked and I laughed a bit. We ate in silence for a few minutes. As I looked at Dally I realized how little I really knew about him. I knew that he was friends with my brothers, socs were scared of him, and I liked him a whole lot. But that was about it. Eventually we made our way into the living room and I was determined to find out more about him. I put on the new record I just got and sat with him face to face.

"This is.. interesting," he said as the music began to play, "is it new? I don't think I've ever heard you play it."

"No I had it lying around," I lied, "and quite frankly I don't care if you like it," I said with a smirk.

"Okay doll," his hand was lightly grasping my chin making my heart flutter, "I never said I don't like it."

My lips met his and we began to kiss. It was just as amazing, if not better than the first time. I kissed a few boys but with Dally it was like no other. I could feel his passion and the connection between us. He couldn't keep his hands off of me and the temperature escalated. Every time he pulled away we continuously went back in, our lips crashing together each time. Before anything else happened between us, I pulled away. Now would be a better time than any to get some answers from him.
