SODA'S POV
After me, Bev, and Pony watched the sunrise we were walking back to our house. I was really tired from staying up last night but Bev helped me a lot, she was the best sister. And yes, I know she's my only sister but she was the best. Now, I know I promised not to say anything about Dally to anyone, but if Bev really liked him I had to help her out. I wouldn't be doing this if I thought Dally would hurt her, but I saw the way he looked at her, he treated her different then the other broads he gets with. And me and Pony would be the ultimate wing men, so I as we were walking back I *whispered* to her if I could pretty please tell Pony. Anyways, I was pretty sure when she made me make that promise it was because of Darry cause he's extra protective over her. I don't blame him now after what that other asshole did. Pony would probably be doubtful at first but I know most of all Beverly can handle herself and her relationships. She told me I could tell Pony about her little crush on our walk back. Yay!
"Pony guess what Bev told me.."
"What Soda?"
"She has a little crush on Dally," I giggled mischievously.
"WHAT," Pony exclaimed. He had to be putting on an act because there was no way he couldn't tell, "why'd she tell you and not me," I figured he was asking this question to Beverly more so than me.
"Pony of course I'd tell you, Soda said it last night and I guess I didn't deny it so I do like him kinda. I didn't have a chance to tell you," she said apologetically.
"Aww Bevvy," he was smiling, "how cute you have a crush."
"Bleh Pony don't say that. And don't tell anyone, especially Dally."
"But Bev," I pleaded.
"..he totally likes you come on," Pony finished my sentence.
"Stop you two I don't want you meddling in my business," she was sounding like Darry now.
"Okay Bev whatever you say," we agreed. But let's be honest, since when would that stop me and Pony. Besides, no promises were made.
BEVERLY'S POV
Once I got back home from watching the sunrise it was around 7 o'clock. I was exhausted so I decided to go back to sleep. The house was really quiet and I fell asleep almost immediately. I knew I would probably end up sleeping until the afternoon but I didn't care.
DALLY'S POV
I went to the Curtis's at about 5 in the afternoon on Sunday. I wore my usual attire, jeans, a leather jacket, and a white tank top, except this white tank top was new and nice. I also didn't have time to do my hair so it was pissing me off a bit. When I got there it was all the usual guys except Dar, he must've been at work. And Bev wasn't there. I sat down and lit a smoke when I noticed Soda and Pony being happier then usual.
"What's your guys deal?" I asked them blowing a puff of smoke from my mouth.
They both laugh and Pony replied, "Nothin' Dal. Nice hair."
"You assholes, is that what your laughing at? Come over here I'll take the grease out of your hair if you don't cut it out." Then they stopped.
"Yeah that's what I thought," I laughed because I was only joking with them and they started to laugh again too. We started playing a card game.
"Oh and Dal in case you're wondering where Beverly is, she's sleeping," Soda said making him and Pony smirk at each other.
"I don't care," I lied, "why would I." Those words made both of them stop and actually get more serious. I was wondering why but that was a question I'll save for later. Right now I just wanted to play this game of cards and finish my smoke.
After about an hour of being there Beverly came stumbling out of her room into the kitchen. Before she was never home and out with her friends, or when she was home she stayed in her room and wanted nothing to with us. The only time we saw her was on holidays because the gang usually spent them at the Curtis's. She was kinda quiet then and I thought she was just a bitch who thought she was better than us. Well I was wrong, now I know she was just scared of us I guess but she's nice to hangout with now. 6:30 was the time when I glanced over at the clock. Bev had her head down at the table, she was still tired. Me and the guys were still playing the same card game as earlier so I figured I would go check on her because she had been laying there for a while.
"I'll be right back," I told them. I walked into the kitchen and sat at the seat next to her. "Bev," I said quietly, but no response. Then I tapped her on the shoulder making her flinch.
"Who is it," she groaned and picked up her head. That's when I noticed the bags under her eyes and how messy her hair looked. Sheesh. But she actually looked kinda cute. I guess no matter what she really looks good.
"It's Dally, you okay?" she was probably just tired but still.
"Yeah can you get me some water?"
"Yeah give me a sec," I tried to keep quiet because I didn't want the guys to think I was soft. "What are you like hungover or something?" she probably wasn't, but with the way she was acting it wouldn't shock me.
"No what," Beverly was raising her voice at me now. I laughed.
"I didn't think so, just wanted to make sure. I mean you slept till what, 6 o'clock?"
"I just had a late night is all."
"Doing what?" I was curious but tried to play it off as just trying to make conversation.
"Wouldn't you like to know Dallas?"
"That is why I asked," I said sarcastically and gave her the glass of water. She immediately began to chug it. I put my hands on my hips and rolled my eyes like a mother would, both at the fact she wouldn't tell me and because she looked like a fool chugging the glass of water, causing her to laugh and the remainder of the water to splatter all over the table. "Have fun cleaning that up," I told her and returned to my seat in the living room. When I got back in there only Johnny and Pony for left. It looked like Pony was telling Johnny something but stopped as soon as I walked in. Pony told me the rest of the guys went to stop at the DX to grab some food. I guess now would be the best time to ask Pony what him and Soda thought was so funny about me and their sister earlier. Pony or Johnny couldn't keep a secret from me.
